This is a beautiful and unique place. Wonderful the way It's put together. And to think that you over the I-80 freeway!

This museum was a great stop driving through Nebraska. It is new, high-tech and very interesting in its telling of the western migration. Well worth a stop!

This is a really unique museum. It goes over top of the highway and is really neat just to look at. We liked how as you passed to another exhibit your headset would automatically change to the information for the next display, no messing with buttons. We were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed this stop. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful.

Pretty well done overall, especially for children. The audio tour that automatically changes as you walk through the monument is great. The tour is good for children, although a little light on facts and information for adults. The thunderstorm recreation in the first room was so realistic it scared our 8 year old. The staff was exremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. I would have liked to see a few more actual items from the period on display. The Pawnee Indian earthen lodge outside the monument is quite impressive. A well-stocked gift shop. The Dickey's barbeque eatery was a huge disappointment. We were there on a Sunday, when kids supposedly eat free. However, they were already closed several hours before the monument itself closes. I guess it doesn't cost you anything to give away free meals to kids if you just remain closed. My children (8 and 11) were very hungry and we had to drive into Kearney to get something to eat. A disappointing end to an otherwise educational trip. Don't expect to get anything to eat while at the monument.

Very pleased we stopped at this unique museum. Many exciting rooms with displays as well as the very interesting dialogue from the headphones. Also some outside displays along a short hiking trail.
