It is impossible to over-praise this establishment. Friendly welcome on arrival, Frances actually came out to the car park to greet us! Everywhere was spotless. Once we had our cases unpacked there was a pot of tea with home made cakes and biscuits waiting for us in the lovely guest lounge. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable with a bed I want to sleep in forever. The en-suite bathroom was modern and airy. Our bedroom would not have been suitable for the less able as it has an original cottage spiral staircase but to me it enhanced the stay by its character. I am nearly sixty and enjoyed climbing it to bed. Breakfast, cooked by Roger, was sublime. His haddock fishcake was wonderful. The bread was home made, the eggs from their own chickens. Delicious, I am salivating just remembering it! The best value and experience I have ever had in a B&B. I can’t wait to return.

Room Tip: If you are less able ask Frances and Roger to give you a room with easy access.

There are lots of great reviews for Buckland House, and I echo them all. You don't need to hear it all again so I'll keep it brief - warm reception, kind & friendly hosts, tranquil setting, lovely room, comfortable bed, super breakfast! What more could you ask for? Thanks Francis and Roger!

It was my husband birthday on the Thursday and I booked this lovely B&B on Wednesday, what a nice friendly greeting we had when we arrived, Frances & Roger made us feel very welcome, lovely and clean, comfortable beds.

Nice extra's liked bottled water in fridge, fresh milk and home made cookies, we have stayed in many places over the world and it was refreshing to feel so comfortable, the breakfast choice was also very good.

Room Tip: Busy road so ask for a room on the back of the house.

We felt very welcome at this B&B and would definitely recommend it! We stayed in the Floral room, which is very spacious with a comfortable bed and an en-suite (also very spacious) bathroom. We can only agree with previous comments about the great breakfast and also the great self-made cookies that will await you in the room.
It's a great base for exploring the area, too.

Just what you want from a small B&B but dont always get these days. Friendly hosts, clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast first class. As we were staying with friends the little guest lounge was especially useful to use to plan our trips etc.Frances and Roger are constantly looking to enhance the product which shows their professionalism and obviously successful attitude.

Room Tip: Front room faces the main road so some traffic noise
