Hastings Nebraska has a brand new Russ's Market, it's actually a long time grocery store, recently rebuilt, totally new top to bottom. Deep inside of Russ's Market is a great little café. The café is a new addition to Russ's operation. Seating is available on two levels, the upper level has an elevator for those that don't want to use the stairs. A small private dining room is available or you can choose to sit near and enjoy the fireplace and easy-chairs. And of course there are plenty of TV's to watch also.
Russ's Café offers a "daily cycle" menu and is open early for breakfast until about eight o'clock in the evening. They will prepare breakfast all day if you want. Full dinners in the evenings. The menu is extensive and priced very very reasonably. All cooked items are prepared fresh to order. The Café (as an extension of the Deli) has ready-to-serve prepared items available to compliment your order should you so choose. The staff is friendly and courteous and service is surprisingly speedy considering this is not a fast food restaurant.
I know I know, it must sound like I work for Russ's, but I don't. I just happen to like everything Russ's Café is doing and don't want to keep it a secret any longer.
If you are tired of fast-food and seek a regular meal or a great hamburger this little café would be a good choice.
