Went to The Bears' Paw for a family Christmas meal last Thursday (12th December). Food was excellent - ate from the Christmas Fayre menu - £23.50 a head good value for a very nice 3 course meal.
Liking real ale the beer was also very nice and well kept.
Lovely atmosphere with really nice public rooms, only slight criticism would be that not many areas to sit if you're not eating - we were staying over and wanted a pre-meal drink before our family arrived and space was limited. We sat at our dinner table but at least 2 waitresses wanted to move us but there wasn't anywhere to go.
On staying overnight, our room was really nice with lots of space and nice touches. Bed was comfy enough and breakfast really nice. Would recommend both food and rooms.
