“A Little Disappointed”
Reviewed August 15, 2013

We only stayed for one night on an ensuite powered site.
The setting was beautiful, but arriving on our site we were disappointed.
It was one of the older ensuite sites, and had no shade close by( it was a very warm day) the ensuite was very tired and not really clean, I think it had been unused for a few months and was quite dusty etc, also not even any spare loo paper. I think what disappointed us most was that there were heaps of the newer and shady ensuite sites available, but we were on the old tired one :-(
Also had read about the restaurant on site and were looking forward to it, but this was now closed down.
We found the site quite exspensive and probably would not return.

Thank you for taking the time to send us your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your one night stay was disappointing. Whilst our Park is not new we do take pride in our housekeeping. The newer ensuite sites are suitable for tents or camper trailers and our caravan ensuites are on our refurbishment program in the near future. We hope to see you again.

When we arrived we were impressed with the gardens, until we arrived at our powered site. It was almost impossible to level the van, because of the slope of the land. We had to park our van away from the slab to get it reasonably level. We were not the only ones who had to do so. The amenities were not as clean as they could be and most of the washing machines had grime that looked like it had built up over time. Being a Big 4 park we expected a better standard.

We stayed three nights because it wasn't too far from Maroochydore where I was playing in a golf tournament. About 15 minutes from Maroochydore. Very expensive compared to other caravan parks we've stayed in. $64 first night (peak) then 43 per night after. The facilities were adequate although the electric hotplate's knobs were pointing in all directions so you didn't know what temperature they were on or which knob was for which hotplate. Could do with a bit of TLC.

Thank you for taking the time to review our Park. Unfortunately at the time of your stay the hot plate in the camp kitchen was needing some attention , and this has now been rectified.
We try to deal with all maintenance issues as soon as they arise.

We hope to see you and your family again.

Took our very first caravan trip to the Big 4 forest glen as it is only an easy 1hr drive from Brisbane. Drive through Van sites made parking the Van for the first time easier.

Amenities where in need of some renovations but we used our vans bathroom when we could.

The activities in the park are what drew us here. Great mini golf course, playground, huge jumping pillow, bird feeding, heated pool with water slide, tennis courts, giant chess, movie cinema showing 3 recent movies daily & games room. Also bikes & scooters were welcome in the park.

Only 20 min drive to Australia Zoo & close proximity to 3 x Strawberry farms where your kids can pick there own.

Overall we had fun & would return with friends again. They had an outdoor movie screen that would be great to see in warmer months. (Inside cinema during winter) as you can tell I'm a big kid at heart.

There is also a huge new organic supermarket less than a minutes drive from the park which sells everything you need & good coffee out the front.

Thank you for taking the time to review our Park. We are so pleased that you and your family enjoyed your maiden voyage here at Forest Glen.

Our Outdoor Cinema does operate in the April, September and December school holidays which is always a big hit with children and the big kids at heart!

Yes we are very fortunate to be so close to the huge new Organic Superstore.. which does sell very good coffee!

Look forward to seeing you and your family again sometime.

I am going to keep this brief and try and let the pics attached speak for themselves...

The good:
Nice big camping spot...plenty of room for our big tent and tarp.
Incredibly friendly staff. They were amazing!
Park is immaculately clean.
Park is set amongst a beautiful natural setting.
The mini-golf course was fantastic and the kids loved the jumping pillow and games room.

The not so good:
It is very close to the freeway so you can hear all the trucks go by with their air-breaks throughout the night. This wasn't a big problem, but it can wake you up if you are a light sleeper.
The tennis courts were closed for the weekend and the basketball court was hardly a basketball court. Not at all safe or good for use.
The location of the park is a good 10-15 minute drive from the beaches. We expected this, but didn't expect the park to be right beside the major freeway.
The kitchen is right beside all the tent sites. This is good and bad, but if you have people in there making noise and watching footy until into the night, this won't be so great for your young family.
Pool may have been heated, but gee, you couldn't really tell. The water was freezing cold. The owners need to fix this. No-one used the pool the entire time we were there, and you couldn't really blame them. The spa looked dirty, old and tired.

Room Tip: We would stay here again, but not in Winter.

Thank you for taking the time to review our Park. We appreciate good and bad feedback.
Unfortunately our tennis courts were being resurfaced during your stay, there is never a good time to undertake this type of maintenance and the recent rainfalls had hindered the process.
The swimming pool is heated to an average of 24 degrees and both pool and spa are checked twice daily.

We look forward to seeing you again in Summer.

Wonderful short break away for our family !! Thank you very much. We stayed in one of the Cabins in March 2013 for three nights and we had a fantastic time. Plenty of things to keep the kids entertained - the park was clean and far away from the hustle and bustle of the main Coast but still close enough to do whatever we wanted !! Definitely coming back again soon. :)

This is a good basic camping ground that has everything you need.

The kitchen is fine, the pool is good, toilets and showers ok, park like setting.

The staff were very helpful but appear overworked.

And it's still a bit of a drive to Australia Zoo.

The most expensive ground we stayed at.

Noisy adult groups after dark on each of our three nights.
