First, when I go to book hotels, I call them and get a quote then use the website and compare the prices. When I called, the price was very high. The website price was cheaper, so I went that way. I got a room at the "annex." To me, an annex is usually something added _after_ the fact. As such, I was not worried. When we arrived, we basically were staying at what I would call a dumpy "no tell motel." What we were told was that prior to the main lodge/hotel being built, there were some small buildings of an older motel. The knocked most of them down, but kept one building. There were bugs in this unit and it really needs to be gutted and remodeled. The bathroom door had all kinds of damage. They trash container outside had a swarm of bees and you had the fresh scent of bug killer in the air (very strong). We complained and to be fair to the hotel, the internet website might have said this was exterior corridors. That being said, it is wrong that they have NO PICTURES of this older part of their hotel. To me, that is misleading. As such, we decided to stay in the main lodge (newer part) of the complex. The manager even gave us 10% off which was very nice. The lodge part of the hotel is very nice, but it does costs more. The breakfast room is very large and the guy running it made sure the food was stocked throughout the morning. The pool must be heated really well because folks were out there and it was like mid 50s!! They also have an internet computer that you can use to check e-mail, look stuff up, etc.. I would recommend staying here, but make sure you do not stay in the "annex" or "exterior corridor" building.

The Annex rooms are smaller rooms in a separate building from the main hotel. For this reason they are priced $30 lower than the standard rooms in the main building for our guests that are more budget conscious. However, all the Annex rooms were upgraded in December 2007 with new carpet, graniite vanity tops, tiled bathroom & vanity floors, curved shower curtain rods, bed coverings, new pillows and new case goods in 2005. The rooms are perfectly comfortable and very clean. All the rooms have one queen bed to allow for ample room to relax. Photos will be posted on the Best Western website soon.
