Our stay at Grizzly Peaks was very comfortable , we arrived two days early and was given our rooms that was awesome . The location was great close to town , However we were unable to connect to the internet most of our stay . No housekeeping , And there really is no one ever in the office . Great place for locals not for folks traveling .

Grizzly Peaks was a very nice surprise when staying in Whitefish, MT. The location of the condo is in a residential area that is within walking distance to downtown and the city beach. The unit was clean, self contained, really comfortable and we were welcomed with a bottle of wine when we arrived :o)

Our apartment was very comfortable. It was minimal in a few places, but it was a good value compared to the other options. It came with a bottle of wine. There was a nice kitchen that we really didn't use or need, but it was nice to have the space. I wish that we had had a view of the lake, but I guess you cannot have everything.

We booked 3 days through AMA thinking that it was an approved accomodation, when we got there there was a bottle of $5.69 wine (we checked Costco pricing) we did not drink the wine, there was no remote for the TV, no cable box, lights were burnt out and ants in the bathroom. We informed the owner and were promised that all would be fixed that day, the burnt out lights were but no cable or remote for the TV. The owner said the cable company was having problems which affected the cable TV. We talked to our neighbours and they had been trying to get cable for 3 weeks,in other words there was no cable TV in that building.

So we decided to move out and find other accomodation. But first we wanted to ensure we would not be charged. We phone AMA who were very helpful, AMA told us that the company that they employ does not allow us to move out and we would be charged for the additional days. AMA did find us other accomodation but we could not move. Because AMA was not aware of their no refund police they tied our hands and we had no option but to stay. The AMA was supposed to get us a special rate of $143.00 per night the listed price per night is $145.00 but we would have to present our AMA card to get the special rate. Thanks AMA for saving us $2.00 a night! After our call AMA admitted that the accomodation was no longer an approved AMA accomodation. Even though we booked it through the AMA.

Nothing was ever done to fix the cable TV issue. They promise breakfast at a different location other than the condos, according to the web page. No information was ever provided as to the location for the breakfast, we nor did anyone else we talked to staying at the condos ever get breakfast.

There is no phone for emergency or to phone to get information on local events for any activity information. At the time we stayed there were 2 festivals the Huckleberry festival and the Amedus festival.

In our search for accomodation we found out these people also own the DUCK INN and according to other hotels the daily renters were leaving the DUCK INN as they were having similar problems. We actually tracked them down and went to the DUCK INN to confront them and were told they were out and could not be reached. AMA even tried to reach them and found out how hard it was to reach anyone they tried 4 seperate numbers no luck.

When we left we talked to the owner she several excuses and each time time the story changed. First the cable was out due to cable provided issues, then it was that they had a break in and all the cable boxes were stolden, then it was they do not provide cable TV service to daily renters, we were in building 2 and the dialy renters in building 3 did have cable service at the time we were staying there. So you can make up your own mind whether to stay here or not.

Their credibility was long gone by this time the owner could not even navigate her own web site when we questioned her about the free breakfast. She claimed she had lost her husband a year ago and was doing her best, if so I feel for her, when we confronted her with her partner and why he was not getting back to us she said his daughter was just diagnosed with cancer, if so that is terrible however based on the above experience and the problems we had with these people, I can not believe anything they say. They were willing to adjust our rate however could not since she did not know how to do that and her partner was not available so we had her hand write and sign a note saying she would be providing and reduction in the rate. Do you think we will be getting a reduction?

We will definitely be avoiding this accomodation and filing a complaint with the state of Montana.

These are absolutely gorgeous with everything you need for an overnight stay or a week. Clean, homey and very relaxing. The only place who had an opening the weekend we went on short notice (booked thru AAA). Would definitely stay here again!

We booked online & were still pleasantly surprised. The condo was modern, clean & in a quiet location. It had a seperate bedroom and a full modern kitchen with full facilities. We stayed for 5 nights and found it very relaxing. It is only a short drive to supermarkets & a comfortable walk to town. Also only a minimul drive to Glazier N.P. There is a laundry onsite & also wifi & cable. The free bottle of wine left for us on our arrival was much enjoyed & a very nice touch.

Room Tip: The upstairs rooms don't get the car head lights in the windows at night.

My husband and I planned to travel by car for a week in and around Glacier National Park, both camping and staying in hotels. In June we booked two nights at Grizzly Peaks in August and one night was immediately charged to our credit card. But around mid-July we realized that we need to cancel the trip due to a scheduling conflict Having booked the trip via Expedia, we went to that website to begin the cancellation process. In trying to decipher the cancellation policy on Expedia, I found that the link was broken and only the first few words of the cancellation policy were visible. So I went directly to the Grizzly Peaks website and learned that the cancellation policy was more stringent that I've typically encountered with 30 and 60 day notices required, depending on the length of stay. When I communicated directly with the inn, the owner was quite helpful and fair about the resolution of the cancellation. We hope to rebook our trip soon and will certainly select the Grizzly Peaks condos for our "fancy" portion of our stay.
