Reserve ahead but also drop in and try food at the bar if you can find a seat. Popular and we know why - nice service, tasty food, just right.

This restaurant was rated number 1 by the reviewers on trip advisor so we decided to have our final dinner while vacationing in this restaurant. It was a Saturday night and we did not have reservations. We got there at 6:45 and were told that there would be no tables until 9pm. The hostess said that if we did not wish to wait, we could sit in the bar area and have tapas. She was pretty convincing and when we reviewed the tapas, we decided to stay. As it turns out the tapas are HUGE! They are also delicious. Being from New York we are used to very tiny plates to nibble from. These plates were NOT tiny. We over indulged, as it was our last night and tried the escargot in puff pastry, the fried green tomatoes, macaroni and cheese (my favorite!), catfish strips and the shrimp and crawfish cakes. We then shared cheesecake with huckleberry sauce. Everything was DELICIOUS!! The service was great except that the waitress was not a real fan of clearing the table between courses/tapas and we had to ask for fresh plates. We are only disappointed that we were not able to have dinner here, because from what we heard it is even better than the tapas, which is hard to believe.

Attractive bar addition to the dinning room. Some excellent creative house cocktails. Tapas were very good. We just happened to order three that were gluten free, even though were are not gluten intolerant. They we tasty.
There is a lively bar scene. The service is excellent.
I look forward to returning.

Now fine dining in whitefish montana just got better! The best restaurant in Whitefish just added a little outdoor patio bringing a little bit of the charm of San Francisco and NYC to the great outdoors. Had the catfish strips and arugula fennel and pine nuts salad- yummy!

The place has plenty of covers but we were lucky to get in as it was buzzing. The service was helpful and the water glass never ran dry. This was some feat as we had just returned from a long hike on a hot day in Glacier National Park. Well, nearly 12 miles is long for us anyway! The food was really strong with an excellent Caesar salad topped with salmon and a chargrilled chicken with seasonal veg. Well done Tupelo Grille!
