Beautiful hotel on the banks of Whitefish lake, The Bear in the lobby is huge. Stayed in the Viking building. we appointed room with a fireplace. Unfortunately the mattress was old and worn out (sway backed). ruined the stay.

Room Tip: Rooms with a lake view are pricey.. Rooms in the Viking Lodge are much more affordable.

This was a beautiful place to stay and had a super convenient Snowbus pick up to get us up to the mountain. The staff was friendly, but their food is horrible. Unless you need a drink, we don't suggest it.

Room Tip: The lake view is worth it!!

My husband and I came to stay for a weekend. The lodge is beautiful! The rooms are thoughtfully done and spacious. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Holly, the hotel manager. The restaurant had great food with beautiful views of the lake. The spa was wonderful and relaxing. The room prices are very reasonable, more so than other places to stay in the area that are not as nice. If you are planning a vacation to Whitefish or Glacier Park, this is the place to stay!

The suite is perfect for a family of four that wants every amenity possible. We had a great stay and I think it was worth the price. The views of the lake are amazing, there is three king beds, the kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals. Full size dining room table, plenty of tv's, fireplace, and plenty of bathrooms. Spa was a good value, and the bar and restaurant were great.

They had a Ice bar outside at night and were greeted with cookies and Hot chocolate.

Good Stuff

Room Tip: Make sure to request a Lake View

My family and I stayed for one night on the lake side of the resort. The resort itself was beautifully decorated and displayed local pieces of art. There were chairs by a huge wood fireplace to sit by and relax, and the staff was friendly and accommodating; they even let us check in a little early. Our room was located on the second floor and was magnificent. The amenities included a gas fireplace, a huge bathroom, and a kitchenette. In the evening we spent time visiting with friends in the lounge area, which must have been a popular place! The entertainment was lively and we had a good time. However, when we left to go get some rest, from our room we could hear everything going on in the lounge which made it very difficult to sleep. After a few hours it quieted down though. We ate breakfast in the dining room, which was a bit of a disappointment. It took about 45 minutes to an hour to get our food, and the food was just ok. Not what we expected for such an expensive lodge.

Room Tip: We were told to request a room across the road (connected by an enclosed walkway) which are supposed...

This is a beautiful hotel. Very picturesque. We stayed in a lakefront suite with two queen beds. Very spacious and nice decor, my wife's words. The kitchenette was lacking some necessities like bowls, plates and utensils? The beds were super comfortable. Restaurant was nice with good service. A little pricey for the dining menu but still a good meal. The lounge menu was much better value. The staff at the hotel was very accommodating with any requests or questions we had.

We enjoyed our stay here because of the rustic mountain lodge atmosphere, however a downside was being able to clearly hear conversations through the bedroom walls. The service and calibre of food in the dining room was inconsistent and substandard for this class of hotel; the breakfast being especially disappointing. The beds were amazing but room service was poor and information given at the front desk was inaccurate.
