“Clean, nice location, reasonable price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 19, 2013

We just needed a place to stay in Whitefish after camping in Glacier. The Pine lodge was friendly, clean, and the pool and hot tub were nice. We had a nice balcony overlooking the river and it was a good location. If was pretty full because of a big soccer tournament, but didn't notice any noise problems. The pillows do need replacing though. It was half the price of some of the fancier places that didn't provide breakfast. So we saved our money and went out for a great dinner!

We were only staying 3 nights and visiting Glacier National Park from dawn to dusk, so we didn't spend much time at the hotel. The rooms were your traditional hotel room, nothing wrong and nothing exceptional. We had the continental breakfast and were on our way for the day.

The Pine lodge was pleasant enough, fine for a short stay and near enough to walk into town, we got the ground floor, which was noisey and we could hear the other people through the wall snoring, the pillows could do with changing, all in all clean pleasant enough for a short stay and breakfast was fine, usual breakfast deal sufficient for what it is.

Room Tip: Maybe the balcony would be better

We liked our stay in pine Lodge. Our deluxe room had a balcony and view of the river. We enjoyed hot tub and pool in the evening. Location is very nice. Good cleaning service. I would recommend a small improvement: add cheese and ham to breakfast. I would stay in this hotel again.

Room Tip: room with balcony faces the river

We especially enjoyed the "unique" pool, swimming both inside & outside! Our room faced the river which was also lovely. The location of lodge is a big plus, within walking distance to downtown shops, etc. Our room was very clean. Our stay was 3 nights, would have liked to stay longer. Also the breakfast was displayed lovely/quite adequate.

Room Tip: Next time we'll try to book a room with private balcony.

Perfect spot to spend time in Whitefish. You can walk to downtown and take in all the local restaurants, pubs and shopping. You are also close enough to walk to Safeway, Walgreens and Super 1 Foods. We stayed in a mini suite giving each of us three girls our own bed albeit the sofa bed is the least comfortable. We had a kitchen sink, microwave, small fridge and a lovely little patio where we could watch the river flow by - there is a decrepit old trailer across the river that dampens the view. We were on the first floor and very close to the housekeeping room and I expected to be rudely awaken every morning but that was not the case. Even though the hotel was very full the rooms seem quite quiet and housekeeping staff are very respectful. The front staff are very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The pool is the perfect size and kept at a very decent temperature. The continental breakfast was as expected if you like carbs but should be extended to 11:00am for those that do and the checkout time at noon. If you are a coffee lover bring your own.

Very outdated but does have flat screens, rooms are clean but very old looking, the pillows have much to be desired, beds are okay, the pool is awesome, the breakfast is great if you like only carbs and sugar, the "river view" is nothing more than looking at a murky puddle - not a true Montana looking river, good location, and the staff are very helpful. I would stay here again if I had to.

Room Tip: Bring you own pillows
