Owner description: Whitefish Mountain Resort, in northwest Montana, is noted for its laid-back vibe, world-class skiing, and unbeatable value. The resort sees an average of 300 inches of snow on its 3,000 acres, and is as well known for a pleasant lack of lift lines as for its consistently good snow conditions. When the snow melts, Whitefish Mountain Resort becomes home to thrilling zip lines and an alpine slide, world-class downhill and cross-country mountain biking, and the unique Walk in the Treetops, in addition to spectacular hiking, water sports, fly fishing, whitewater rafting, Glacier National Park, and more available in the greater Whitefish area. It is the perfect base camp for a summer visit to Montana’s majestic Flathead Valley.

Even with 7000 people on the hill New Year's Eve, I never felt crowded. This hill has it all and will keep me always wanting more! Remember to buy your passes at costco.

As an Albertan who lives not far from the Rockies it hurts me a little to say this, but Whitefish is the best skiing I've ever done. We had about a foot of powder all over the place, and the resort had runs that were fun for my beginner 7 year old and for my double black 14 year old.

Even if you don't enjoy skiing, take a drive up to the lodge and enjoy a drink while you take in one of the nicest mountain views you'll ever see.

I really highly recommend this hill for anyone who loves skiing in a lot of snow!

I like to say that Big Mountain, Montana is a "big boy" and "big girl" ski mountain. Located a couple miles from Whitefish, Montana the mountain if big with ski runs on both sides of the mountain and great views into Glacier National Park from the summit of the mountain. There are ski runs for all skills of skiers and exceptional runs for experts and intermediate skiers. There's room on the mountain for everyone without bumping into each other. And there is no better little ski town than Whitefish, Montana. Great restaurants for every expense account, with all kinds of food for every taste, and very inexpensive drinks of all kinds. Montana beers are the best!

Wow, they have a ton of snow! I love that I never felt like it was crowed anywhere. I guess there are enough places to stop and rest or eat or put your stuff because we always had room and never felt part of a crowd. It is just beautiful up there and there and has plenty of runs to keep anyone busy!
