“Great place to stay when visiting Yellowstone”
Reviewed July 28, 2014

The town of West Yellowstone has plenty of places to eat and to souvenir shop. The entrance to Yellowstone State park is just a mile or two away. We had 2 queen beds and a very spacious bathroom with an external sink. I would highly recommend staying here.

Everything was good, from the room to the breakfast. Best thing is the proximity to Yellowstone for someone who didn't want to camp, and that they are pet-friendly. Didn't like the price, but understand that's the cost of being by Yellowstone.

Upon arrival, I needed to repeat my last name several times because the desk clerk couldn't remember it. Then we went to our room and the first thing we saw was one of the curtains was hanging by a hook on either side. You would think that for more than $200 per night the curtains would be hung properly. One of the beds looked as though someone had taken a nap there and the head boards were so dusty that when I ran my finger over it, I got a dust worm (ugh). I must say the rest of the surfaces in the room were spotless. The shower curtain had some debris on it that looked like boogers! When we talked to the front desk about it, I felt like they thought we were making this stuff up. They did give us another room and that one was ok. The continental breakfast was fair, but they didn't have any cream or half and half for coffee. Only 3 containers of Coffee-mate. I just expected better.

This hotel is located near the west side of Yellowstone Park. Across from the hotel is the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center, where wolves can be heard when you are outside the hotel. The town is worth seeing, also.

We stayed 3 nights in a huge suite with sitting area, separate bedroom with 2 queen beds, full bathroom with separate sink area, and a kitchenette that was bigger than the kitchen in my first apartment. Staff was very friendly. It was pricey, but as other reviewers have commented, so is everything else in the area. West Yellowstone is a tourist town just outside the west entrance to the park. It is convenient to Old Faithful and the other sites on the west side, but it's quite a drive to the other areas of the park so keep that in mind when planning out your visit. The only complaints about the hotel are the walls are thin and it needs a bigger breakfast area. Overall, very pleasant stay!

We enjoyed our stay here. We loved it's location, close enough to walk to everything downtown, across the street from the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center, and very close to the entrance to Yellowstone Park. It was pricey, but they all are around Yellowstone. Very clean and quiet. We thought that the water pressure in the shower was a little low compared to some of the other hotels we have stayed at but got the job done. We also went down to get the complimentary breakfast one morning and couldn't find a table to sit at so we ended up eating in our room. Overall a nice hotel!

after driving 12 hours and not knowing what to expect it was a wonderful experience to be treated so well and offered many tips of where to go and what to see in the area. Any time weather late at night or very early in the morning the staff was pleasant friendly and willing to make our stay the best experience. Our vacation was one of the first vacations that my teenager had no negative comments they didn't even complain about the long drive after we arrived
..

Room Tip: your in good hands with the staff they will take good care of you

Green Features: they remind the guest that water is very important and not to be wasted
