A great hotel with a lot of charm, character and history. Recently renovated this circa 1952 Hotel is just a few blocks away from the west entrance to Yellowstone National Park. We stayed two nights Off-season and enjoyed a nice room on the 2nd floor with a King bed in the "historic" wing. Historic is not a euphemism for the old, run down part of the hotel. It's really quite nice and the room has all the modern amenities mixed with some rustic style knotty furnishings, hand hewn chairs, a flat screen tv and good wifi connectivity.
Free continental breakfast and good tips from the staff on local eateries. Note: the restaurant and bar on site is awaiting getting a liquor license and is not open at this time. Also smoking is not allowed in any hotels in Montana by state law.
A good value and it was a pleasure to stay here during our honeymoon/grand tour across America.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Stage Coach Hotel, it wasn't very busy in April because it was between seasons, the staff were extremely helpfull directing me there because the route through Yellowstone Park was closed. The room was quite large and very clean, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast room was large and bright. Nice Chinese restaurant nearby, with good food. It's very near the Grizzly Center which is well worth taking a look at, Wolves and Grizzly bears living there. Its about 1/2 mile tot the Yellowstone Park entrance.

The room they put us in was the handicapped room and it was very spacious with a great view. The entire hotel is decorated in Old Western Style and extremely clean even down to the lamps, headboards and fixtures which are antlers - very unique and beautiful. However, their onsite snowmobile rentals leave a lot to be desired. The sleds are NOT maintained well at all. We broke down twice, once a part that holds the skid on came off and if my husband hadn't noticed it while looking down while making a turn he could have been hurt extremely bad. The sled I had would not start up again after we stopped for lunch so they had to come out and bring me a different sled. The attitude of the person that handled their sled rentals left a LOT to be desired. However, he was trying to operate with a skeleton crew and he was not able to keep up with the repairs and etc. So the hotel itself we would highly recommend due to decor, cleanliness and hospitality but we suggest you rent your snowmobiles from another facility.

Room Tip: Ask for the handicapped room (I believe it's room 102). It has a microwave, refrigerator and a...

I was surprisingly happy with my stay here with a friend. Based on many of the reviews I was a uncertain about it, but we had a blast! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly (especially when it came to dining choices-there aren't many options during the winter season). They also helped steer us in the direction of an excellent snowmobile rental company. Our room was a bit on the small and cramped side, but it was clean and everything was in working order. Overall, for the price and location, this was an excellent choice!

I was very happy with my stay. The Inn seemed much nicer than I expected for the (spring) price. Room has enough room for 1, table, chairs, great internet speed. Staff was very nice. Breakfast was fine, nothing fancy. Left Balance bars in the room for guests, how cool is that.

Staff was nice and helpful.

Booked this hotel for super cheap so wasn't expecting much and was very pleasantly surprised. The lobby area is great and very "montanaish." There is a nice fireplace and tables around and a large selection of board/card games for guest use. During a heavy blizzard we took a couple bottles of wine down there and played games and had a great time. The location of the hotel is perfect for restaurants/shopping/activities in West Yellowstone. Even in the dead of winter we were able to walk to restaurants due to the great location. Service was also great. All the employees are very friendly (as is everyone we encountered in West Yellowstone), especially the guy in charge of breakfast. He would chat with us each morning about our activities for the day. Our room was clean and nice. Flat screen TV, comfy bed, white linens, fridge and microwave. I guess the hotel used to have a bar/casino but it was shut down while we were visiting. Not sure if this was just a winter thing or a permanent thing. All in all a great stay at a great price and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

This hotel is a great value.spacious rooms.underground parking.friendly staff. great rates. the only thing was our room could have used a bit more 'detailed' cleaning. it was clean in general but a few small things were overlooked. The town had a lot of fun activities and we will be back next year for expo! Also i reccomend madison crossing lounge..best food in town!!
