All in all, we were rather satisfied with our stay in July. Found the front desk staff friendly & helpful. Our room was in the newer section & we found it clean, roomy & comfortable for a relatively good price in a overpriced town. Two issues keep me from rating it excellent. One is the thin walls & ceiling to minimize the noise. The other (as mentioned by others) is the breakfast. We would've been much happier with a continental type breakfast as well as hot water for tea/coffee at the front desk.

Because of the location I guess they can charge the rates they do. It was a comfortable room and clean. The diniing room for breakfast was freezing! Other than that it was an ok stay. It was within walking distance to some restaurants and grocery store and gas station across street.

We planned to visit Yellowstone for 2 days and one night. I had a hard time finding a room in Yellowstone national park even though I started looking 5 -6 months ahead of time. I was told you need to book at least a yr in advance. So I was forced to look in west Yellowstone. The prices are very high everywhere. I chose the Days Inn based on price and the pool as we always try to book a hotel with a pool for my daughter. The pool was awesome as reviewed by my daughter and husband. It is an old building and has not been updated. The room was hot and humid even with the air on. The sink faucet was wonky. Didn't work properly. The bathroom had hair in it. You did get 2 coupons for free breakfast at the attached restaurant. Kids ate breakfast for $4. You had to pay for drinks and gratuities. The breakfast was good. Tasted like home cooked. However the restaurant was freezing. I heard that the air was not controlled and maintenance had to come in and fix it. We had to have our plates sent back and warmed in the microwave. The server we had was great and very accommodating. I would probably not book here again but it was fine for one night. But for $180 it was not sufficient.

Hotel room was good size but dated. Not sure how good the cleaning job was, we found Beef Jerky on the floor that wasn't ours. Our air conditioner set off our smoke detector at 5 A.M, nobody seemed to concerned about it when we mentioned it at check out. We were a little "put off" by the free breakfast. Booked 4 people in the room, only given 2 breakfast coupons. We are responsible for other 2 meals, all drinks, and tips.?? Wow, not what I remember on the website. On the plus side, kids enjoyed the pool and water slide. It did seem clean. Overall, not horrendous, but not award winning either.

Stayed for a day for a family trip to Yellowstone. The good thing: the water slide in the pool. My kids were fascinated and had a really great time at the pool. The bad things. First, this rundown inn needs significant upgrade. Room was filthy and the air conditioner was noisy. Beds were not comfy and linens were not clean either. I believe this is the most expensive Days Inn as it's located right outside of the West Yellowstone entrance. Then the management should invest more for the facility upgrade. Second, breakfast is not a buffet type but a coupon for the restaurant by the lobby. The coupon does not include drink and tip. Also they give only two coupons for a room regardless of the number of guests. We opted to not use the coupon but went out for breakfast. Finally, the guys at the front desk need to understand what hospitality means. You guys are working at a hotel, mostly for family travel, not a DMV office! Please smile and be friendly!

I find it really hard to believe ANYONE would recommend this hotel and if they do its has to be fake. I am not a days inn customer generally but I gave this hotel the benefit of the doubt when I booked it for our family vacation. Worst idea... The place is so dirty! Even in the rooms you don't feel clean. The beds are gross and uncomfortable.  The worst part is the crowd that hangs around there. All of the employees smoke spot is at the front door right by the entrance to the pool.  The employees hang out in the parking lot at all hours.. It's unfortunate that people can't feel safe in a place like Yellowstone.

Room Tip: Don't stay here!
