Our family had reservations at the Days Inn in West Yellowstone for 2 nights before we had reservations for 4 nights here. We were turned away at Days Inn because we wanted to pay cash! By the way,not mentioned on the website or when making reservations(see separate review for Days Inn).So we came over here to see if they could fit my family in for 2 nights before our 4 night reservation was scheduled. And they could-even in the same room for 2 nights before we moved to a different room for regular reservation.Thank you for the 2 women at the Front Desk who graciously moved rooms around so we could get a room and who accepted cash without any problem! They saved our vacation and we are so grateful. Would recommend stay here. Our rooms were on third floor and very quiet.Front desk always helpful.

Room Tip: Room 305 was on oversized room and had plenty of space. Close to everything-we walked to downtown wi...

We arrived early for our visit to Yellowstone Park and stayed here the night of 6/18/2012. This Hotel appeared clean and had no issues on that concern. The beds were fine giving a refreshing night's sleep. The Internet and TV worked as designed. The hotel has a good parking lot and is located in a great location but is costly for what you get.

We attempted to partake in the "free' breakfast. This Hotel had one or two tour buses the night we stayed. Therefore, the breakfast area really could not handle this capacity. Just too many people for such a small area. We really do not like any free breakfast due to many issues—the Ad Agency who created this monster should be punished by managing all of the free breakfasts in every hotel! I am sure that most Hotel owners will agree with that statement. This Best Western had omelets that were not edible after being kept warm for an extended time. The dry, hard cardboard like egg was stuck to the paper in the warming tray. The bacon was in a swimming pool of grease. We bypassed these items but others did not.

Due to the location near Yellowstone Park, the price was high--$203.93-- with tour bus travelers staying here.

We spent three nights here so we could drive into Yellowstone Park. From here we saw all the southern areas of the park. This looks like one of the best motels in this town. From here we easily walked all over West Yellowstone. Rooms have fridge and micro, so we could stay in to eat after long days in the park. They appear to get lots of busloads of travelers here, so reservations are probably a good idea.

Rooms are clean, remote control especially clean as well. Great location. I'd recommend staying in west yellowstone for visits of the park, since it is a really nice drive into the park to the main attractions with wildlife on the road and not as boring/long as staying near Mammoth or the South Entrance. Hotel has complimentary breakfasts and has some variety of good enough breakfast food. Furniture kinda dated but rooms are clean so it is good value and comfortable stay!

4 of us ( 2 couples ) returned in February 2012 to explore the wonders of Yellowstone Park as only you can under a blanket of snow. We stayed at the Desert Inn again since we enjoyed it so much 2 years previous. Everything was perfect . The rooms were updaated and spotless, the staff went out of there way to make your stay enjoyable. The hot tub and pool were a welcome relief each evening and the hotel location was within walking distance to the restaurants and bars in the town. Each morning we enjoyed planning our day over the free hot breakfast with a endless cup of coffee..We are coming back next year, pray for snow !.

Second year staying at this property in February. Clean, new mattras in our room since last year and better breakfast selection. Coffee at breakfast remains horrible and needs to be changed. Otherwise would continue to recommend.

Clean, comfortable and a perfect location in west yellowstone. Rooms are large, we had a king, with a hearty warm breakfast included each day. We enjoyed our stay, which was booked thru two top snowmobile rentals(top notch company - we highly recommend.) The hot tub was an added bonus, after all day riding the trail, a good long soak in the tub was perfect for sore muscles. Room had fairly new carpet, large sofa and chair plus bed. The only downside is tough to regulate the heating, but given it was -17 at night, that was a minor issue.

Room Tip: Third floor king in the corner facing the parking lot might get a little noisy during summertime, w...
