“Great spot for breakfast”
Reviewed September 19, 2013

Our hotel clerk recommended Ernie's, and it was a good choice. The "Wrangler" was great - what we've called a "Hole in the Wall" and other names. Ernie's takes it a step further by deep frying the toast cutouts and coating them with sugar. Voila - a couple of small doughnuts with your eggs and bacon! As with truck stops, you can tell Ernie's is good by the many fishing guides who were eating here and getting lunch to go. Not fancy, but give it a try.

“Picnic Perfect !!”
Reviewed September 18, 2013

We stopped at Ernie's twice to get our "to go" picnic. Fantastic homemade sandwiches, fruit, chips, cookies, candy, and drink for a reasonable price. Yellowstone restaurants close from 2:30 to 5:00, so it was nice to have food available on the road.

“Very disappointing”
Reviewed September 16, 2013

My family ate at Ernie's yesterday. One item we ordered was advertised to be Ernie's "ice cream." It turned out to be a revolting combination of air, numerous additives, and I doubt any dairy products. I at a little, then kept it covered in its container while we drove home. ALmost one hour later it had not melted - it kept its same shape. It is a disgusting "food" item to offer customers - and certainly not ice cream.

“Very good”
Reviewed September 13, 2013

We had breakfast at Earnie's and it was delicious, they offer freshly made breakfast sandwiches and pastries. The only downside is the long line to order. I suggest you get there as early as possible to avoid the morning rush.

“Terrific lunch”
Reviewed September 12, 2013 via mobile

I read the reviews online so we decided to have lunch at Ernie's today. We are visiting from California and we were delighted with our stop for lunch here. My husband had a burger with bacon and loved it. I hade the avocado sandwich without cream cheese and it was nummy. The homemade bread was great along with the sandwich fixings. The owners are delightful too. We look forward to our next visit when we are back through the area.
