I would highly recommend this establishment. This is not your average generic Motel 6 type hotel. If you want to stay somewhere with some character and charm, that has hostesses that are knowledgable on the area, friendly, and caring, then this is the place. The hostesses here are the owners, and not just some teenager behind a desk. They were very helpful in navigating the various sites to see, places to eat, and local info. The units feel more like staying in a cabin in the woods, versus a hotel room. The decor is fitting, with rustic furniture, and many other amenities you don't find in a hotel, e.g. a wood burning fireplace, small fridge, microwave, etc. The establishment is located just minutes to the park entrance, but just far enough away that your not surrounded by millions of people staying in the large hotel complexes right near the entrance. We will definitely attempt to stay here again when we return. I say attempt, as people who are "in the know" stay at this Inn, and it can be filled. I really hope the Sauers are still there when I return. I can't wait to ask them about the lessor known spots that were the highlight of our trip.
