“The Branch Restaurant & Bar”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 26, 2011

Besides having a couple of Montana craft brews on tap, the food is pretty bad. I would not recommend The Branch for food. Never very crowded and I can see why. Tried the place twice because the first time was decent, the second time was worse. Service was just ok. Also kind of pricey.

“Not very good”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 23, 2011

I guess this place is geared for the family and not particularly picky families. Food was so so. Even their signature biscuits weren't any better than say Denny's (in fact if there was a Dennys in town I would recommend it over this place). The hostess was not very friendly when we came in and when I asked how long of a wait she snapped at me.

“Great restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2011

Had dinner here while staying at the Holiday Inn - both the service and food were beyond our expectations. Not sure what other choices there were in town ... but this was very enjoyable.

There's also a historic 1903 wooden sleeper car under cover outside the restaurant worth visiting.

“POS ribeye steak dinner”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 12, 2011

We each order the ribeye steak dinner. We were in 'beef country' after traveling over 2,000 miles and thought a steak dinner was in order. At $30, we expected a fine steak dinner. Requested medium rare. Both arrived and one was obviously a BAD steak - thin, grisly, in two pieces - well done too! I requested another steak telling the waiter that it was a POS steak. The manager came over. I told him I couldn't believe the management would allow that steak to be served. He told us we would not be charged for that one. The second steak took another 15+ minutes to arrive and it was WORSE! - 1/4 inch thin and way over done - like a breakfast steak! We threw $10 (one dinner plus two beers) on the table and walked out! Do not go to this restaurant! What the others have posted about the chips, skillet cornbread, and over priced is VERY true. We walked to McDs for my dinner.
