And the wait wasn't long (20 min) with West Yellowstone being full of travelers. We ordered for meals. The salmon were twice the size of most $$$+ establishments. The buffalo swiss was "huge" and perfectly made and the boasted chicken was juicy and more than one person could eat. Pricing was reasonable.

Òur server was a friendly and patient mature lady who with a smile and sense of humor aptly served her busy section of challenging guests.

Only one negative and that isn't The Three Bears's fault, a nasty, foul mouthed, loud, "older local" who was spouting racial slurs and the f-bomb with a restaurant full of children and multiple ethnic visitors.

The Three Bears is a great place to spend your time and money.

The food at this restaurant is quite poor. We tried the broasted chicken. Actual "broasted" chicken takes some time to properly prepare, but the plate came out rather quickly -- and it looked entirely unappetizing. The chicken tasted bad and tasted old. We also had an Angus burger. It had the appearance of a patty that had been frozen, and it also tasted old as if it had in fact been in the freezer for awhile before cooking. The service was just ok -- your basic get seated, order taken, the token "is everything ok," and then the check. Based on the items on the menu, they are a bit overpriced. Given the quality of the food it is not worth it.

I had salmon it was cold and under cooked. My husband had ribs and said he had had better. We never saw the waitress. The price was horribly high.

When we stopped outside of the restaurant, I was a bit hesitate to go in as it did not look attractive to me. The restaurant is more like a lodge from outside and no fancy windows to display what's going on inside the restaurant. After went inside, it was a totally different world. The restaurant was so busy at Sunday evening and the waitress were friendly and effective. We have to wait for 5 minutes in order to get a table. We ordered trout, steak and ribs and they are all very good. Big portion as well. We had apple brown and key lime as desert and they were delicious. If we ever back to west yellowstone in the future, this will be our stop for food.

Food was wonderful! Large portions that can be shared. The service was excellent. Key Lime Pie was the best ever!
