The breakfast was great - and was way cheaper than the Timberwolf place that we had breakfast the day before. We started wondering why we had gone to the Timberwolf in the first place. Highly recommended. Great bang for the buck.

My family of two teenagers and two adults were looking for a place to get a full dinner, and this restaurant was one recommended by our motel. The menu had a good variety and everyone found something to their liking. The salad bar was better than average. The dinner portions were very ample. In fact, both my wife and daughter could only eat half of their chicken dinner, which left us with some delicious cold chicken for the next day in the park. Our waiter was very helpful and friendly. The atmosphere was average to above-average. All in all, it was a good experience - we would probably eat there again were we to visit West Yellowstone in the future.

Everyone in my family enjoyed our meal at Three Bear Restaurant. All the food we had, the French Dip, Roast Beef Sandwich, Hamburger, was delicious. The prices were reasonable, and the staff was friendly and efficient. I would eat there again if I were to go back to West Yellowstone. It is a popular place, on the night we were there there we waited about 20 minutes for a table, but its worth the wait.

West Yellowstone is not a gourmet paradise location by any means. The tourists have gone there to see Yellowstone Park and the town is basically just a place to sleep and eat.

The Three Bear Restaurant is a good average place to eat. It is not gourmet food but is more than just adequate.

The night I was there with my wife, the service was extremely slow and this was at the very beginning of the season (May, 2007). I would hate to think of the service during the height of the tourist season. The server was pleasant but new to the job. Everyone has to learn and we were in no big hurry.

The prices for the steaks are quite high for a tourist town in the West. We opted for the fried chicken which is one of the specialties and it was a great choice. The chicken was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside and cooked all the way through. I am a big eater but I had to take a couple of pieces back to the motel for the next day.

The salad bar was pretty standard. It did include two soups.

There was a full bar with plenty of local microbrewery beers available. I suggest the Moose Drool from Big Sky Brewing. Lots of hops to the flavor. I try to sample local microbrews when travelling around.

I really did not like the stuffed black bear cubs in the waiting area. I much rather would see wild life live than stuffed in a waiting area.

All in all, a decent place to eat for dinner after a day of trekking in Yellowstone Park.
