We ate there our first full night in Yellowstone. We had viewed the menu on-line before traveling, and thought that it didn't look like a bad place to eat, and was very near our hotel. What a mistake!!! The waitress seemed like she just wanted to go home and wasn't particularly attentive. I had the "filet" which was a joke. It seemed like it was just the middle of a steak, cut out in the shape of a filet - but it was thin and had no flavor. Husband had the bison steak, which was barely cooked, was barely warm, and was very tough and gristly. For the amount we paid to eat there, it was not worth it at all! I would never go back, and would not recommend it to anyone. Not worth the money!!

It was so crowded however it tooked longer to get our order taken than it did to get a seat. Once ordered, we waited a long time for cold food. Butter wouldn't melt on the toast or pancake. We went on our first day and didn't go back.

My husband and I had dinner here recently and I must say the service was above average, but the food was slightly below average. We had Prime Rib and Shrimp. The prime was pretty tough and tasteless--you know poor to average quality beef when you taste it; and the shrimp was battered to death. The soup and salad bar was EXCELLENT though. Many restaurants in the area are closed or closing by this time of the year, so that may limit your options. If I went back to the Three Bears, I'd stick to the soup and salad bar and maybe a burger.

The steak was average at best. They didn't even try to disguise the fact the shrimp was frozen out of a box. The beer was good. Old Faithful in a bottle.
