The "condos" are actually duplex cabins, very large and comfortable. Don't be discouraged by the older appearance of the motel. The condos are new. Perfect for 2 families. Nothing in the area appeared to compare. Only 2 drawbacks: continental breakfast was just donuts (not a problem since the condo has a full kitchen) and the neighborhood is more urban -- you're definitely not in the woods, but then neither are any other accomodations in West Yellowstone.

Even though the Motel does not look good, the 2bdr. Condo is excellent. Service is excellent and the Condo is spot less. It still looks like new. I would recommend this for anyone who likes a clean, quite place for reasonable rate.

This place was actually rather decent. At first looks, this place does look like a small, shabby, run-down motel, but never judge a book by its cover. Once we got inside our rooms, we found them to be clean and average sized. One of our rooms had a kitchenette, which was very very nice. It was actually a full size kitchen with all the appliances, pots, and eating utensils one could possibly ever need. There was even a big table to sit and eat at. This kitchen itself made our visit worthwhile. There are other places that looked nicer from the outside, but they charged twice as much for the same amenities. Overall, this place is worth your money, if you don't mind the exterior or the surrounding neighborhood, which isn't exactly people friendly.

I stayed here for one night in June. It was the cheapest place to stay in town. It's on the edge of town, away from the city center hubbub. When I first pulled in to the parking lot, I knew I'd better not expect much out of the place. The place looked rundown and not as nice as some of the other "newer" places in town. It was also very empty, with only 2 cars in the parking lot.

The first problem came during check-in. The quote and confirmation given on the phone during time of reservation was $60. However, during check-in, the person said it was $62. This place doesn't send confirmation letters so there was nothing to back up the original price. The check-in person consulted his book and said $62 was what was written down. So I had to suck it up and pay $68.

The rooms were small and very basic (no amenities provided except liquid handsoap in a dispenser). I didn't have any problems with the hot water in the shower like other people did that posted here. However, the bathrooms were obviously not for petite people like me. I couldn't see myself in the mirror without standing on my toes and the hooks on the back of the door were up near the top of the door. I made the mistake of setting the timer on the fan in there and it wouldn't shut off even when it reached 0. Needless to say, I had to listen to it all night. Additionally, the room had some mold in the corner of the room near the bed.

The only good things about the place were that it was quiet since it was on the outskirts of town and the room had a microwave and refrigerator.

We stayed here for 6 nights in August and would have stayed longer if it had been possible. The condo is superb. Two lovely bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a sizeable lounge/kitchen. Everywhere was spotless which helps when you have a fussy wife! The price was very reasonable and the staff were very helpful, giving us lots of tips about what to see and do. We will definitely return as it is the best place I have stayed in during my 4 visits to W Yellowstone. A lovely place to stay.

When we first drove into the parking lot of this motel we were quite worried as it looked very old. We saw a brand new two story log building behind the office and were relieved to know that we would be staying there. It is a two story building with rooms 114 & 116 connected. We stayed in room 114. Since it is brand new it was sparkling clean with a kitchen, dining area, living room (with couch/futon and TV), and a bathroom with a shower downstairs. Upstairs is a bathroom with tub/shower, a bedroom with a queen bed and dresser and another bedroom with a queen bed and bunkbeds (but no dresser-only closet space which was more than ample). Despite the outward appearance of the original motel office and rooms, the townhouse/condo was perfect for our group of 6. The veiws out our windows were into the run down back park of the motel except for the living area window which is into the street with a view of the propane and huge gas refilling tank which are directly in front of the front porch (not too great for evening viewing). All in all, we loved the convenience of having a kitchen (which could use a griddle as there are only two small frying pans for cooking) and found the townhouse/condo to be clean, bright and much more modern than the rest of the motel.

In addition to, and in concurrence with, my partner's eloquent and accurate assessment --- "We chose here for their cheap rate, and we paid for it! ..." --- The plumbing was such that every time we took a shower the water temperature would fluctuate wildly and unpredictably (...whether this was each time someone in a neighboring unit "flushed," one can only surmise...) ... and during one of those hair-raising shower experiences, I almost suffered serious burns ... the water temperature instantly and without warning shot up to scalding temperature and, feeling like a lobster dropped into a pot of boiling water, I was forced to kick the shower door open and run out soaking wet and screaming in agony! ... A rather terrifying experience!
