“Great Stay”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 17, 2013

My brother and I were for two nights and enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, well-decorated, cozy, and comfortable. It was a bit small, but chances are you aren't staying in West Yellowstone to hang out at a hotel all day. We loved the location as it is walking distance to everything downtown and right near the entrance to the park, and yet it is off the main road so it's quiet at night. I would definitely recommend it for other single people or couples during their trip to West Yellowstone.

I would recommend this motel for a stay in West Yellowstone. Nice staff and nice rooms.
I stayed in another motel at the beginning of my style for the same price and the rooms were old, no decoration... however in the Moose Creek Inn the rooms are beautiful and welcoming.

The rooms were much too small and we did not feel it was a good value for the money at $140 per night. What the pictures look like online were not what we found there. We would have liked to have found another room but were locked in to the duration of the stay according to the confirmation letter we received. The staff barely spoke to us and the only redeeming factor was that it was conveniently located. We found no amenities in the lobby as others have said in their reviews.

Dear Guest: We are sorry that you did not contact the management regarding your stay. As the owners and staff we would hope every guest is comfortable and satisfied. We would have addressed your request to check out early but were unaware that you wanted to check out early. Our property is priced about one half the price of a chain motel and is priced according to amenities. Moose Creek Inn is advertised as a cozy, comfortable property and as owners, we did take all of the photos and post all room photos on our website. You can view each room and description before you commit to a reservation. Several Trip Advisor reviews on Moose Creek address the size of the rooms and that point is well noted on these reviews. As you mentioned before you left that you were going to let everyone know about your experience - thank you.

We stayed at room number 4. It's small, but it has everything that we needed. Really nicely decorated, clean, comfy bed. Location is very strategic, it's near the Yellowstone west gate park and also in the center of everything, restaurant, imax theatre, etc. The only downside is that you can really hear your neighbor talking.

The Moose Suite is divided into a bedroom, kitchen/ living room area. My family likes it cool and I like it warm, so with two separate heating/cooling units and a door, we could all be happy when sleeping. The hotel was clearly recently remodeled with really nice rustic appointments. The family was very helpful and friendly. The location was right outside Yellowstone Park where the upper loop is separated from the lower loop. It was located near the downtown area and a supermarket. They provided cocoa, tea, cider and flavored coffees. Other places in town were just ordinary, but this place offered more of the western ambiance.

Room Tip: The rest of the hotel has regular rooms and I cannot speak to them except that they too are recently...

The room was clean, comfortable bed, good heating, but the bathroom was tiny! I was traveling by myself, for a ski race there, so this "detail" didn't bother me too much. However, if you are staying there with family, it could be a big problem (I don't know if all rooms have those small bathrooms/showers). The location is good; only few block away from some restaurants and the Holiday Inn hotel (which has a nice restaurant, that stays opened until later). Easy access to major attractions and highways. The breakfast is super simple, but there is a grocery store few block away (2?), where you can get extra fruits, cereal, etc. The staff is ok, helpful and friendly.
Good option if you are looking for an economical place to stay, while enjoying your summer/winter vacations.

Room Tip: Try to check if they have rooms with bigger bathrooms.

Fantastic stay at Moose Creek Inn! Within three blocks you have plenty of restaurants, gas station, market, shops, Ace Hardware, museum, wildlife center, IMAX theater, and entry to West Gate of Yellowstone (We used all of these in our three day visit.) Very Clean Woodsy themed room with modern amenities = ice machine, snacks, decent continental breakfast in lobby, fridge, microwave, cable, wi-fi in room. The most comfortable beds of our 2 week trip - slept like Babies! Sweet, welcoming staff - we relied on them for Yellowstone Park advice and they were quite helpful. Didn't flinch when we informed them we had lost one of the room keys. Reasonable price for the area and the season. Will recommend wholeheartedly!

Room Tip: Go to Ernie's Deli and pick up a sack lunch to take to the park with you. BLT was our favorite.
