If doing a Yellowstone tour you might want to do this first. The animals were very interesting, was great to get to see bears and wolves up close. They also had some great very informative movie on the wolves.

The naturalist was very knowledgeable and the bears and wolves were particularly active during our visit so we were very lucky.

“Fun for the family”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2014

This was a fun experience for the whole family. Good to know in advance that your entry fee is good for two days of visits, and that the eight bears are on a schedule for when they are in the habitat. Also, be sure to have your age 12 and under kids sign up ($2) for the Keep Kid program, which allows the kids into the bear habitat (obviously without the bears) to hide food for the bears. Good to have a plan and to know the times in the winter, since this is mostly an outdoor experience, and can get cold really quick. Dress appropriately for the cold!! Knowing the schedule for the bears help make for a better visit, so that you get to see a variety of bears.

“Worth a visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2014

We went in December saw all the wild animals outside but did not get to see wolves or bears (for obvious reasons) but this place offered the kids what they missed. The bears are provided food so they dont hibernate. The person explaining things was very knowledgeable. The bear information center is very good (may be old in some spots). Would prefer a more comprehensive wolf section. The food for wolves is donated by hunters, the bears depend on salad package donations. Bring a few past date packs and drop it off.

“a great way to see bears and wolves close up”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 1, 2014

It was a great find. The people here were very helpful. The exhibits were informative about the lives of bears and wolves in the national park. We were able to take close up photos of the animals and watch them interact with each other. This was great as we did not see any during our winter visit to Yellowstone national park.
