We stayed for 3 nights in late June. We wanted a hotel that was inexpensive and near the entrance to Yellowstone. We weren't looking for luxury as we felt we would be spending very little time in our room. While the price may seem a bit high for what you get, for this area it was extremely reasonable. The hotel is very basic, super clean and perfectly suited our needs. There is a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Our room had two double beds which were very comfortable, a desk and two chairs. It is also just down the street from the Running Bear Pancake House, where we stopped every morning for breakfast, and also grabbed bag lunches to take with us to the park. The hotel was within walking distance of the downtown area which is also a plus. No A/C, but it wasn't necessary. And the owner was very nice, he was a good source of information about the area.

The owners (husband and wife) were really nice. The other night, the whole region had a major blackout. The owner went out to the hardware store to buy lanterns so we do not have to sit in our rooms in the pitch dark. Fortunately, the lights came back on before it got dark.
The rooms have a refrigerator, micro wave oven and coffee maker. There are two sofa chairs and a regular one. The bathroom sink is rather small but it works. The location is away from the main part of the town. The surroundings is not too appealing since the neighborhood is rather rustic.

We stayed at this Holiday Inn for a pretty penny. It was a matter of convenience to be close to Yellowstone. It was clean and nice and seemed relatively new or newly remodeled. If you are looking for a bargain, you might want to look elsewhere. For us, it was worth it as we split Yellowstone up into 2 days with our large family. We planned our trip too late to try to get reservations inside the park. But, we wanted to stay really close to the park so we could get in as much as possible the next day.
