“nice clean campground, perferct for exploring yellowstone.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 1, 2011

We arrived at 11:00 at night and Ken(manager) was waiting for us and greeted us as we pulled in. He seemed excited to see us and guided us to our RV spots where he even help guide us as we backed the RV in which was nice after a 15 hour drive. The campground was kind of small but had lots of tall pine trees between the RV spots which made it kind of cozy. The kids were able to ride their bikes and play with no problems. The campground was very well maintained and ken was able to help guide us on things to see and do to make the most out of our 3 days we were there. The bathrooms were some of the cleanest i've seen which is definetly a plus while on vacation. We will stay here again for sure if we ever get a chance to go that way again.

Room Tip: be sure to call several months in advance as they book up fast, also keep in contact.

What a great base for exploring amazing Yellowstone Park. We traveled with another family and both got cabins at Wagon Wheel. We (2 adults, 2 teenage kids) had the larger 2 bedroom cabin 7 while our friends had smaller 3 BR cabin 1.

In all honesty, we didn't spend that much time in our cabin as we were out in the park all day long. But it was extremely comfortable, large, clean, and well outfitted. We ate breakfast in the cabin every day and had one dinner there as well. Ken was a great host, giving us tips for all the local spots. Jane cleaned the cabin impeccably every day while we were out.

We would definitely return!

I visit Yellowstone in September each year and have stayed at Wagon Wheel RV Campground and Cabins twice over the past two years in Cabin #2 and will be staying there again this September. The manager Ken is amazing, couldn't be more helpful, always very friendly and the cabin is always VERY clean, and that is the most important thing for me when considering where to stay. Cabin #2 is perfect for one person although you could manage with two people okay, only issue would be the size of the bed, it's a double. The location is very quiet. West Yellowstone is a small town so you are close enough to everything you need. Not far at all to the West entrance of the park. I have been to West Yellowstone many times over the years and have to say that this is a wonderful choice for a place to stay, especially if you want to get away from the feel of a typical hotel room, I enjoy the coziness of the cabin, it gets you a little more in touch with the feel of the area. Staying at Wagon Wheel is like staying with family. This is a friendly, very clean, comfortable place to stay and I would recommend it to anyone.

This park is incredibly well-run! The RV slips have trees for privacy, so it feels fairly private. The bathrooms are so clean- they must have a bathroom fairy cleaning after each person, because they always looked and smelled clean. Ken could not have been more gracious or helpful. This is one well-run establishment.highly recommended.

We stayed in the camper's cabin and it was perfect - enough room to sleep 7 comfortably, although the living space with that many people wouldn't suffice. There's a table and 2 chairs, full fridge and TV as well as 2 windows to let in the air (but keep the mosquitoes out).

Ken is extremely knowledgeable about, and proud of, the area and will answer any questions you have and give you a thorough overview of the activities, amenities and restaurants in the area.

We will stay here again and highly recommend it.

We stayed in cabin 4, which is great for a couple. We loved the five night stay. The bathroom was a little to cozy. We had our own grill and picnic table outside next to the cabin. It was a one bedroom with a kitchen that was fully equip. and daily housekeeping. The owner is very helpful and gives you advice and a map on the best places to go in and around the area. This is a very well kept campgrounds and cabins. We would stay there again, and would upgrade to a little larger cabin. Any of the cabins would make a great stay at this place and I hope you try these cabins out on your trip. Only six blocks to Yellowstone National Park and made it easy for us to travel a short distance into the park.
