“Great lil cabin!”
Reviewed July 4, 2011

Don't let the location get you disappointed. It is right in the middle of town, but it is a perfect location if visiting Yellowstone! Much cheaper and so much better than staying in the park. We rented cabin 5 which had a king size bed, kitchen, full bath, and bbq area. It is walking distance to town if you want to walk it. It wound up being a great place and a great lil cabin.

We arrived in West Yellowstone, MT on a seven day trip to see Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. Ken graciously greeted us and gave us a tour-guide type run down of the town, restaurants, shopping, events, etc. He then took us to our two bedroom cabin. The cabin was immaculate, roomy and well stocked. We generally rent cabins with kitchens so we can cook for ourselves but we have never had one so well stocked with everything necessary for cooking including a gas grill. The location was quiet even though there are other cabins in the area and a campground. Ken greeted us in the mornings while we were waiting for tour pickups and was always available to answer questions. We really enjoyed our stay at Wagon Wheel and Yellowstone was amazing.

We stayed in Cabin 7. Two bedrooms, living room with fireplace, kitchen, laundry, porch with grill, $226 per night. Spotless, kitchen fully equipped, much better than usual. Cleaned and spruced up every day while we were away. For two couples this is a great deal.

We chose cabin 7 at Wagon Wheel based on TripAdvisor recommendations and we were very pleased with it. Don't let the fact that it is in an RV park keep you away; the cabins have their own fenced yard and it was very private and quiet. Too chilly for us to sit outside while there, but there was a nice shady area for outdoor enjoymnent. Covered porch with gas grill too. Very very clean and well supplied. Bathrooms seemed newly remodeled. Ken was very welcoming and helpful. It was the perfect location for us while visiting Yellowstone, the road from West to Madison follows the river and we saw wildlife every trip we made into the park and back. One day we just spent at the cabin, relaxing, doing laundry, and going into town for a little shopping. Walk across the street to Ernie's Bakery for cinnamon rolls. The only downside was no internet in cabin, we had to go to the gameroom to use our laptop, but that was not a big deal.(Ken said he is working on that for the future.) I would definately recommend cabin 7 for a spacious, clean and convenient place to stay in West Yellowstone.

Stayed here for 3 nights while visiting Yellowstone. We were disappointed upon arrival in West Yellowstone that Grizzly RV park was full. Luckily, we found this gem of a campground and their great owner/manager Ken. He explained all the spots to see in West Yellowstone and the little know hot spots to eat. (The Kiwi Diner has the best Bison burger we've ever found.) The grounds were exceptionally clean. The shower/bathrooms were spotless, just like Ken guaranteed they would be. He made us feel like one of the family by the time we left. He was willing to do whatever it took to make our stay enjoyable. By the time we left, we were glad Grizzly was full. Stay here when in West Yellowstone. You will not be disappointed!

We stayed here for 5 days and enjoyed our entire stay. The grounds are well kept, a little close but are level with gravel. The restrooms, showers and laundry room are all kept absoutly sparkling clean and are serviced daily, and the cable TV worked well. All the staff/owners were great from making reservations to helpful advice about the park, where to eat and with a little polite inquiry, where to fish around the local area. And a special thanks from us goes out to "Super Dave" for making our stay the best it could possibly be, as promised, this reviews for you amigo....great time swapping lies about "the day".....

My husband and I stayed at the wagon wheel campground for 4 nights. We were in cabin 8 and couldn't of loved it more. It had everything you needed including a very large walk in closet, full kitchen with supplies and a big dining table. Outside there was a picnic table and grill to use. We arrived and chatted with the owner who was great and told us everything we ever would want to know about West Yellowstone. We got some great restaurant recommendations from him. They have laundry facilities and a game room with a pool table and some arcade games. Loved it!
