Hibernation Station
Reviewed September 7, 2012

The cabins are very cute, nice amenities, slightly dated. The staff could not have been any nicer or more helpful. They went out of their way to make a difference. The location is walking distance from shops/food and right around the corner from the park entrance.

I cannot complain about this being the best location outside of Yellowstone to stay. Our cabin was in the back of the property next to the woods and very quiet. The staff was very friendly and kept our cabin clean daily - even doing the dirty dishes we left in the sink.

We chose a cabin for 6 people - which included 3 beds, but it was probably too cramped for most families. Two beds side by side in what would otherwise have been the living room, right next to the kitchen - which had no stove or oven, just a microwave, sink, toaster, and hot plate. There are only 4 chairs around a tiny kitchen table for seating.

This was the most expense lodging, and yet the most cramped, of all of our stays along a 2-week circuit of Estes Park, CO, Jackson Hole, WY, Yellowstone, and Rapid City, SD. We had a house 3 times the size of our cabin in Estes Park for 2/3 of the daily cost.

Room Tip: Triple check the size of your room, seating arrangements, and kitchen facilities and do your math on...

Thank you for taking the time to post a review on our property. We did want to address a few items mentioned in your review
-Family cabin price and size
Our family cabins are equipped with three queen beds one in a separate bedroom and two in the main living area. We do have a sofa in that room as well as two rocking chairs for seating. The dining area is for six people, there should have been six chairs I apologize to you for that oversight. We do have some of our family cabins that do have a full kitchen with oven etc. For the same price, our pricing is very close to other establishments in West Yellowstone there are several hotels that charge $269.00 for only two beds and none of the amenities.
We appreciate your review and hope to possibly see you in the future. Fall and Spring we have cheaper rates and it’s a great time to see Yellowstone

We stayed here August 8 - 9, 2012, Paid $237 for 1 night with No AC, No Hot Water, No free Wi-fi in Room, No Breakfast, A couple of light bulbs out in the community room. This place was a huge rip-off compared to everywhere else we stayed on our 2 week vacation through the Great Northwest. Elizabeth [-].

We very much enjoyed our stay here. It is in a very convenient location and it was really nice to have our own little cabin. We traveled with out two dogs and it was a very pet friendly property. The staff was very friendly and seemed genuinely happy to have us there. It was really nice to be greeted in such a warm way. There were some cabins that looked to be in disrepair but ours was quite nice.

We stayed in #22 from 7/13-7/16. The good- The cabin we stayed in had a seperete bedroom, and two queens in the living area. Much cheaper than a Suite room at a hotel. The location is excellent, within walking distance to the Grizzly and Wolf Center and to most shops and restaurants. The bad- needs updated. The walls are made out of padded fabric. Weird and unsanitary, even the bathroom. No air conditioning, and the screens are bent and taped so you can't open the windows at night. Everything is old and kind of smelly. The shower had terrible water pressure and an old shower head that barely worked. The hot tub is old, has one big jet. I'm not usually picky, I was going for rustic, but this place was kind of gross.

We stayed at Hibernation Station in early June 2012. The staff was very friendly. Our cabin was kept clean. The location was close to shopping, restaurants, and the west entrance to Yellowstone. We would stay definitely stay there again,

Room Tip: We stayed in the Wizard cabin.
