Owner description: The Brewery Follies is a contemporary comedy cabaret. We perform a skit laden show that is naughty, raunchy, risque, and hilarious! We may be situated in an old mining town, but our humor is modern and...well, we are NOT politically correct. Nor are we clean humored, or for the easily offended. We are fun!!! But we are NOT for everyone. Please do your research before making a reservation. If you leave offended, you may have taken the seat of someone who would have loved being in your shoes but couldn't get in. As Mike, the director says, "no self-respecting person should want to see this show". :) If it's not your speed, don't come. If it is, welcome! And have a great time!

This is a vaudville act by 4 players. The music was very fun, but some of the skits were not great. Like a Hitler act when half of the audience was German. Or the Gay act was too flamboyant and stereotypical. We had some drunks behind us that were talking the whole time and saying really offensive stuff that basically ruined the experience. The venue was great though. Another important thing is if your English is not great this is not a good show. Our relatives didn't understand much of it except the music.

Mike Verdon and his crew are incredible! How they continue to put on a show that will have you laughing to the point of peeing your pants is beyond me. These people are great! An absolute must for all adults!!!

We attended the Follies years ago and enjoyed it. But now it is icky! Some like that stuff-Oh, well. We did NOT and our friends were embarrassed to be there. They had some good political jokes, but the rest was very crude and stupid.

“Laughed until it hurt!!!”
Reviewed June 14, 2013

The show was as promised. It lagged a bit a points but perhaps it was sense of humour and not their jokes! The director of music is exceptionally skilled and talented!!! The actors were great - especially loved the dark haired fellow - fabulous. Highly recommend this show but could you please turn up the heat or keep a door or 2 closed?

“Musician is Awesome”

All I can really say about the Follies, is that they should advertise as rated R rather than PG13, like their website says. The humor is more like teenage boys who are fixated with "bathroom" body functions... with some pretty good laughs in between. I think it probably helped if you were drinking alcohol. HOWEVER, the one thing that everyone should go to see is a young musician who accompanied the group. He played the guitar in a way I have never seen and he is totally AWESOME! He said he could play 13 different instruments, and he did also play the piano and banjo during the evening. I would go again to the Follies just to see him, or perhaps someday he will make a CD. Unfortunately, I do not remember his name, but I think it was Fred, or something like that. (It was a bit hard to hear the introductions and other comments at times, as they don't use microphones)
