“Unique and Tasty”
Reviewed October 28, 2013

We were on a weekend drive, and went to Lindey's on a recommendation from a friend. The staff was friendly and helpful. The menu is short, but the food is great. It was a great stop for a nice steak dinner.

“Great place in a small town.”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

We don't stop at steak houses much, just not that interesting. But this place has great food, a great view and they do something magical to their potatoes that just can't be explained. You can even arrive in your float plane.

“steak is tough”
Reviewed September 21, 2013

We thought we would get a good steak here, but it was far from it. There are only 3 items on menu - their "special sirloin", the "prime sirloin" and the "ground sirloin". The waitress told us that the "special sirloin" was more tender (it cost a little more) so we ordered it. We were very glad we had not gone with the less tender one as what we got was very chewy. My husband was unable to eat parts of his. The 3 items are each 16 oz., so we split a meal and for an extra $6.95 we got an extra salad, potato and bread. Wine bottles were all half price the night we were there, so that was one good thing about the meal. Also the back deck had a great view.

CaliforniaFrannie,

Sorry to hear you were not happy with your dinner. We guarantee your satisfaction. Do wish you would have said something to your server, she would have replaced your steak immediately, that is our policy!!

Glad you took advantage of our $6.25 'dinner share', sometimes 16oz is too much for one person.
"Wine Wednesday", something new we though up for 2013~ , has been a hit!
Do hope the next time you travel to Montana, you will give us a second try.

“Do Not Bother”
Reviewed September 13, 2013

On advice of a co-worker we tried Lindey's in hopes of finding that great steak. Well, it was not here. The portion was large and cooked to order; but it ended there. This is not 'prime' beef in any sense, very little flavor and tough to chew, I would grade it as 'select'. The salad was small; iceberg with one cherry tomato and basic thousand island. The potato's (advertised as 'greaseless') came as a thin rectangular slab. It was barely warm and had the same personality as the meat. We were served a bowl of diced french bread, some pieces were toasted and very little garlic or butter; somewhat stale. They served two small chunks of pickled watermellon rind in a cup covered in a cloying syrup that was barely edible. The only saving grace is that it had a nice view of the lake and our server was very nice and prompt. But we won't do this agian.

“Steak at it's best!”
Reviewed August 19, 2013

Great food, service and a view like none other! Treat yourself to a steak you will crave.
All you can eat handmade garlic bread, homemade potatoes with some kind of secret recipe, they staff wouldn't tell me. But they are to die for. Great beers on hand. This place is simple and is a relaxing way to dine out.
