We ended up here because it was getting late after I took the "long road" out of Yellowstone and it looked like the most decent place in town. The room was adequate, but small as others have commented. No elevator. The pool area was nice and was open until 11pm, which was great after a long drive. Everyone was friendly. The breakfast was slightly more than cereal and toast, definitely nothing to return for. I was surprised at the price, and was told I was in a "resort". Not my idea of a resort, but I was really tired and was happy to have a clean bed to sleep in. If I had not been the lone driver, I would have kept moving.

We came to Red Lodge from riding our motorcycles all day. Concerned about the weather we called numerious times to see if it was okay. Front desk kept saying yes. Turns out that there was a bad storm that had come through and we waited it out in Cody. Got to the hotel right after sunset. Staff not too great. Got into our room and was very, very disappointed with the size. The rooms were very, very small. Something you'd see in San Francisco. No room to move or to put your luggage. We definitely were not impressed especially with the high price. Found out that morning that there was much more local lodging to choose from at a very reasonable price. Will be back in '09 to ride Chief Joseph Hwy and Beartooth pass but will not be staying at the Comfort Inn.

We arrived at the hotel to find it was nice. The lobby was cozy and had a fireplace, comfy couches, and a tv. So we checked into our room. The rooms are VERY small. I looked on the floor/escape plan on the back of the door, and it looked like our room was one of the bigger ones. The pool is pretty nice as well. The staff is amazingly friendly, always willing to share stories. The breakfast was one of the best I've seen in a long time. It was SO filling. The location is not so hot, as it is a bit out of downtown, where all the shops are. The door on the bathroom would also not lock. However, one problem we had that was annoying was that the plastic key cards kept failing, so we had to exchange them. The TV is a nice one, like one with a VHS/DVD combo. The room quality is very good. It looks brand new. It's also 100% non-smoking. So overall, I think this would be a pretty good place to stay.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel in Red Lodge Mt after driving the Beartooth Highway in early Sept. 2008. We chose this property because we were using our Choice Hotel points for a free night. So I can't really comment on the price. It was a clean, quiet property. The staff was friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast was a little better than most, as it had waffles as well as the usual donuts/muffin fare. Also there was fruit and hard boiled eggs. The bedding was above average, with lots of extra pillows. I would stay there again, based on this visit.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn after driving across Beartooth Highway from Yellowstone. Hotel was very clean, had a ref and microwave in the room, but it was rather small room. The beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet. Good breckfast in the morning. We asked them to check to see if the overpass was open and they called and said it was, but we drove 25 miles before we found out they were closing due to weather conditions. Had to turn around and go the long way, where they were doing road construction. Had the famous pie at the Hungrey Bear Cafe (excellent) and dinner at the Grizzly Bear Cafe (excellent) Not much to do in the area.

We stayed two nights at the Comfort Inn at Red Lodge. The room was clean, but there is not enough room for you and the suitcases. You have to sit on the bed for the other person to walk by you. The price is definately too high for the room. Breakfast was ok, nothing to write home about. The downtown area is trying very hard to appeal to tourists and it does have
a few interests and the casino across the street is not one of them.
The biggest interest is route to Beartooth Pass. That is something everyone will enjoy. The beauty of it is in the seeing.
Pictures and words cannot describe it. We had a very upsetting
day getting back to Red Lodge after sightseeing all day. There
is road construction on the road to Belfrey which leads to Red
Lodge and I could not believe they kept it open to traffic when heady equipment was moving along side your car. The wait
was almost an hour and the windows could not be open on account of bees. So Beware.
