“Great hotel, restaurant BAD!”
Reviewed June 11, 2012

Can speak only for breakfast. I
Upon checking in to hotel we noticed $22 item added to check in statement. Was told it was for breakfast and included anything on breakfast menu. Mao we said ok. The next morning we were seated, maybe ten others there in a nicely decorated dining room. Things went downhill fast. Slow, surly service, terrible 45 minute wait for eggs Benedict and omlet. Looked terrible, no taste and just bad! Avoid this restaurant. In the pub off the lobby the evening prior, the crevice was great. Stay away from the restaurant.

“Breakfast at the Polard”
Reviewed June 4, 2012

Every time I come to Red Lodge, I crave to come here for breakfast at least a couple of times for the following reason: Being a spoiled Californian, from time to time I crave to dive into a certain "old world/upscale" ambiance, and to satisfy my periodic need to dress up in something other than jeans and tees. This is the appropriate place for get a dinner or breakfast.

What I like about this place:

1. The service is courteous and efficient.
2. Linens, silverware, plates and mugs are clean.
3. Dining guests are quiet and respectful of each other.
4. The food is basic but nicely arranged on the plate (love the Bagel & Lox).
5. The coffee is strong and potent.
6. The morning sun through the windows is a pleasant touch.
7. Prices are descent.
8. Music is not annoying, but calming and pleasant.

“Huge Omelet”
Reviewed May 7, 2012

At breakfast two mornings. Omelets are huge and my husband had a granola, yogurt, fruit combination that came beautifully presented in a martini glass. Great atmosphere in a wonderfully restored historic hotel.
