I used to love staying at Rock Creek Resort but I won't be going back. Not sure what happened but the service this trip was awful. I was left waiting at the front desk while the clerk went to "warm up her car." I've stayed at Rock Creek at least six times. I won't be going back.

We had a wonderful experience Jan.12-13 2013. The front desk staff and maintenance personnel were very kind, friendly and accommodating. We experienced absolutely no trouble or inconveniences during our stay and found the entire experience pleasant. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The rooms are clean and warm and true to their product description. If you go looking for a hotel room you got it. If you go looking for more than average you get it for a reasonable price as well. It is a little ways out of the town which is great because you truly receive the "get away" feeling since there is no congestion like in town. The entire stay here was amazing and we can't wait to recommend and bring our families here, because this is definitely a spot to come back to!

Room Tip: The views are a nice treat. Pay a little extra for a room that is not a typical hotel room (the jacu...

I was at Rock Creek Resort for 3 days of training and enjoyed every minute. The staff went above and beyond to make sure our meeting needs were met. The guest room balcony opened onto the river. It was absolutely beautiful! The front desk staff, was, as always, pleasant and helpful. Kendra was wonderful, she clearly remembered me from my last visit, months earlier.
It's a very short drive from Rock Creek to the town of Red Lodge. The guest room was comfortable - no complaints.

Nice quiet resort, could use some more updating. Continental Breakfast was a little on the skimpy side. Entrance to lodge is not user-friendly, hard to get luggage through doors and bumps. The pool was clean, but very shallow and not a lot of fun for swimmers. Beautiful location, just needs to add some flair.

Room Tip: Wait for a discount.

Came here over the summer for a family reunion. Good points were the location (on beautiful Rock Creek and close to beautiful drive on the Beartooth Highway) and the catered family dinner we had was delicious (prime rib).

Unfortunately the rooms were BADLY in need of an update, there was no air conditioning and the pool, despite being nice and indoors, had so many chemicals in it that my niece had burns on her skin from it. Service and selection at the continental breakfast was also pretty terrible, we couldn't even get water at times. We also had a bright light shining directly in our room from outside, which made sleeping difficult. All of this combined with a rather expensive price left me pretty disappointed overall.

Room Tip: Get a room facing Rock Creek, it is beautiful.

Rooms are old, and probably have had few if any updates since the 80's. They said it was family friendly yet the room we had had an open stairwell. Uncomfortable beds oh wait it was a Murphy bed! Not worth the money.

Room Tip: It looks like the twin elk building has nice rooms!

The hotel has nice rooms and very clean grounds. There is a very nice creek going through the back of the property and also an excellent restaurant. There is a fishing pond stocked with rainbow trout for children. Overall, it is a great place to stay when visiting beartooth pass and Yellowstone.
