“Relaxing afternoon!”

We went to Chico Hot Springs for the afternoon on the 4th of July. Surprisingly, it wasn't that busy. We had 4 adults and 3 older grade school aged kids. Everyone had a good time. The adults enjoyed soaking in both pools. The kids enjoyed swimming in the one that is less hot. There is a decent amount of shade if the mountain sun is too much. We had a light lunch from the poolside grill. Food was pretty reasonably priced for this type of attraction, generous lotions and tasty. Worth a stop if you want a relaxing few hours.

Cute place but don't see what people rave about. The gift shop was small and there really was not much to do. The restaurant was being renovated, so we ate in the bar -- food was decent but nothing to run back for

Not a bad place if you have kids. But it wasn't quite the peaceful getaway it was played up to be. Hot pool is very hot, which is nice, but probably too hot for anyone under 13.

Very down home western feel. Not fancy, but fun. Beautiful surroundings, mountains and wild life all around. Good restaurant, great Sunday brunch!

We went back to Chico to visit friends and family earlier this spring and had a great time. We got the Winter Getaway package which includes the cost of your supper and breakfast the next day in with your room and is a pretty good deal as the restaurant is quite good and not cheap. We stayed in the lodge which was a first for us even though we have been going to Chico for many years (we have always stayed in the smaller cabins up above, or one of the larger houses waaay up above the main lodge). We brought our little daughter with for her first trip and she really enjoyed floating around in the main pool. Chico is very family friendly and the rooms in the lodge are small and old-timey, just what we like. The heater worked and the water worked, and the sheets were clean, what more do you need? It is not fancy and new, but that is seriously what we enjoy and look forward to, rustic Montana style charm. The main pool was great as always and seemed extra warm which everyone enjoyed.
