Very down home western feel. Not fancy, but fun. Beautiful surroundings, mountains and wild life all around. Good restaurant, great Sunday brunch!

We went back to Chico to visit friends and family earlier this spring and had a great time. We got the Winter Getaway package which includes the cost of your supper and breakfast the next day in with your room and is a pretty good deal as the restaurant is quite good and not cheap. We stayed in the lodge which was a first for us even though we have been going to Chico for many years (we have always stayed in the smaller cabins up above, or one of the larger houses waaay up above the main lodge). We brought our little daughter with for her first trip and she really enjoyed floating around in the main pool. Chico is very family friendly and the rooms in the lodge are small and old-timey, just what we like. The heater worked and the water worked, and the sheets were clean, what more do you need? It is not fancy and new, but that is seriously what we enjoy and look forward to, rustic Montana style charm. The main pool was great as always and seemed extra warm which everyone enjoyed.

For local color and the sense of what it must have been like once upon a time, Chico Hot Springs is great. The restaurant is first rate but a bit over-priced. The hotel is comfortable and rustic but a bit dumpy. On the other hand, that seems to be the ambience that some folks like. The hot springs are quite crowded, at least on weekends, and therefore are not all that pleasant and relaxing. We got the feeling that there were more tourists than locals and that's not something we normally enjoy.

This place is heaven. We stay each year for our anniversary get away. The rustic yet well kept facility is the place to go when looking for unbelievable food, great music, delicious drinks and relaxing hot pools. We love that the pools are drained nightly the water is fresh and clean with little harsh chemical irritants. We have stayed in the north cabins, Warren s wing, and the spa suite in the lower lodge, we have always had an enjoyable experience. Front desk staff, the dining room wait staff, the bar tenders and pool grill employees housekeepers are friendly and obviously enjoy their jobs. This is the perfect place to slip away from reality, rekindle romance and relax. Hate to leave .....can't wait to return !

Chico is a must stay for those that want to UNWIND. Not only does it have one of the BEST Restarunts in the region, the rooms are GREAT and of course the HOT SPRINGS will make the stress MELT AWAY.

I recommend it to ALL MY FRIENDS.
