“just ok place with crappy service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 13, 2007

Rooms are ok, spaceous but nothing special. Staff does not understand customer service, and i never really felt they were reliable or on top of it. attitudes were actually shocking, except one housekeeper who actually acted like she cared. service at restaurant is hit and miss. Map of layout and where rooms are was far from reality for the north wing. Could be a great place if anyone cared. doubt i would stay there again.

The staff call this a resort. It was not my idea of a resort. I asked before I made my reservation if there were bugs and was told no. However, every day at dusk our screens to the balcony were covered to the point that we could not open thedoor or window. Also, the outdoor pool was filled with bugs and never cleaned. The rooms are old. Would not reccommed or stay there again.

read all the reviews and saw the noise issues. just needed a nice place to stay enroute to kalispell. the room was fine. the only noise issue was when people in the hallways talked, you felt like they were in the room with you. take earplugs. otherwise a good place to stay for the price in polson. hard to find much there.
if you pay extra, you can have a view. otherwise, you have a parking lot.

I stayed in this hotel last night and this hotel was the best in polson. I have stay at the other one but they are not a nice as polsons best western kwa taq nuk resort. When i got there I was treated with the most respect and all the employee where very friendly. I had a very nice time there. the pool was not bad at all they keep it clean and nice and same with all the other departments. I have stayed at the other hotles in polson and they are nuthing compared to Kwa Taq Nuk Resort. at the port polson they dont know how to clean there rooms for one and there service is very bad there. they were very rude to the customes and also when i stayed there i have found a chicken bone in the room and it stunk like something was rotten in there. and i was very nosie. At the Kwa Taq Nuk resort the nosie was not bad at all and if there was any nosie they would have there security go to the sorce and stop it. I think over all that Kwa Taq Nuk is the best hotel in polson Montana.

It was full of local kids and people in the hallways and very noisy. These people were inconsiderate of others. In the evening some drunk guys were aggressive and bothering us. Actually we were a little afraid....Not a classy place and to pricy for what you are not getting.

While this Tribally-owned resort is in a beautiful location and fancy looking, there is one major, repeatable problem. The noise. While people from out of the area expect a quiet elegant experience.. they do not know that the local tribe offers deep discounts to their members to stay there. This means locals use the hotel and the pool like its a public playground facility and kids run around in the hallways. I have been present for this.
In April 2004 and Sept 2004, our family members came to visit us and stayed at the hotel. Both times they couldn't use the pool because it was packed with local kids.

The first visit, my In-laws could not get to sleep, due to children running around in the hallways and people partying and making loud noise in the hall late at night. My In-laws reported it to the front desk in the morning and fortunately the front desk applied a discount to their stay.
Many months later, my parents and sister were rudely awakened by a domestic dispute and saw blood on the exit door the next morning. They were given a credit for their stay.

This is completely unacceptable! Both families will never stay there again and I definitely do NOT recommend this so-called resort to anyone.

Located on the shore of beautiful Flathead Lake in Montana, a few miles off the centre of Polson, this is a beautiful hotel in a great location. We arrived on a Sunday, there were a lot of family parties (and we presume that the family parties are just replaced by company parties and/or seminars and conventions during the weekdays). It was very busy in the aisles and in the large ballrooms but, to be fair, we did not suffer any inconvenience within the rooms. Nevertheless, the service at the reception desk was a little bit substandard.
We had reserved two rooms with lake view but one of the two was not available and we had to accept a regular room. It was a pity because the lake view from the (very small) individual balcony was really enjoyable.
Restaurant is just OK...
Very difficult to spot the Flathead Indians who are supposed to run this (overall well kept) hotel!
