We stayed here one night on a long motorcycle trip. We had requested a river view room but when we checked in they said there were none available so we got a room with a lovely view of the parking lot. The carpet in the hallways is atrocious and looks like someone puked on it. They definitely need a new interior decorator.

We were tired after a long day on the motorcycles and didn't want to have to ride somewhere for dinner so we were going to eat at the restaurant. The food prices were ridiculously expensive. The restaurant was also incredibly noisy and there were tons of people milling around. We ended up leaving without eating. When we inquired about restaurants within walking distance, they told us there weren't any, even though the next morning we located several fast food restaurants within a blocks of leaving the hotel.

The beds were very comfortable and I liked the choice of different pillows. The air conditioning also worked great.

Located in picturesque but slightly empty downtown Missoula, the Edgewater lives up to its name by being located at the edge of the river running through town. Probably not the best stop during flooding season, but beautiful otherwise. Rooms were clean and nice. Provided choco chip cookies which were a nice touch. Hotel restaurant is particularly good as well. Would stay there again.

Great location. Outdoor pool with inadequate towles. Desk clerk had no plan to replenish and it was a hot, busy day. Property is shabby but location is great.

Staff is nice enough but the property is tired. Having a river view room is nice but the entire property could use an upgrade, remodel. Restaurant is very expensive.

We had a river view room at the Edgewater and paid $145 plus tax. The river was completely swollen in June due to lots of flooding in the area, so the view was quite exciting...whole trees careening down the river ! Have to say that the view itself was worth the extra charge. But that was probably the best thing about this hotel.

That said, the rooms at this hotel are quite uneven. A friend of ours had a room with a window that looked onto another building and a walkway and was much smaller and darker. She paid $120/night.

Other than the view, I don't have much that is great to say about this room. The decor is very dated and passé, even though it is not worn or old. It sort of looks like it was decorated by John Denver in the 70's. The room was clean though and the bathroom was fine.

I wouldn't necessarily stay here again. It's a weird, funky hotel (but not in a a very hip way). Id' go for an in-town B&B next time.

Booked a room overlooking the river definitely worth thd price. Food at Finn and porters was excellent although pricey! Two things I didn't like: the chair and footstool in the room were very uncomfortable and couldn't keep thd shower temperature constant. All in all a great place to stay!!
