“good place in downtown Missoula”
Reviewed May 18, 2006

They allowed me to check in early, and gave me a room facing the river. It was great; I could open the window for fresh air and hear the water rushing by at night. Breakfast in the restaurant was good, and the pool/hot tub were clean and well-maintained. The pool is long enough to swim laps in, which is hard to find in a hotel pool. My room was clean, very large for the price, and everything worked. I wish holiday inns would get rid of the plactic cups in the rooms and go back to glass. Anyway, a nice hotel in a great location close to everything cool in Missoula.

The good news was that in general the rooms were clean. However, this hotel was in a state of decay. The Lounge was closed, the restaurant expensive for what was served, the coffee, horrendous. The business center consisted of one computer. The fitness center consisted of two treadmills, a stepper and a broken down bike. Ceilings were leaking, our bathtub didn't drain and no one fixed it despite repeated calls. The unit heaters/ac were horribly loud. You can definitely find a better deal than this place

We love this hotel for it's downtown location, and have been lucky to stay here in the past when it's been rather empty and quiet. At our last stay, the hotel was holding a convention (it's quite popular for that, as the meeting rooms are excellent). The noises from the hallway outside our sleeping room made it really hard to get a decent night's rest, or even an afternoon nap. The walls between rooms are so thin you can hear your neighbor clearly. If you are sensitive to noise, I recommend the Holiday Inn Express on Broadway, as that hotel has better sound insulation. We will return to that property next time, and skip Parkside due to the noise factor.

This is a nice motel, located within walking distance of downtown. One word of caution: Request a room facing out, or your window will face the atrium. I had the misfortune of having an interior room during a class reunion and then later for a high school conference. No sleep those nights! Also no fresh air.

I came to the hotel by accident. You can find cheaper accommodation in Missoula, but this hotel has all the amenities you would want - including in-room high speed internet access! - and is perfectly located. On my arrival, the Montana Book Festival was in full swing and I spent an unexpectedly rich afternoon listening to some of the speakers in the hotel's conference facilities. A really good place to stay, to be recommended.

This hotel is very nice with gift shop, pool, fitness center, lounge, and restaurant. When checking in we received coupons off drinks and food which added to the value. We stayed in an atrium room which was cool and could see the tops of the mountains. A little on the pricey side but worth it with all its amenities.

Holiday Inn-Parkside in Missoula is one of the best establishments I have ever visited. Friendly, helpful staff helped me feel right at home (thanks Dawn!), and answered the multitude of questions I had about the surrounding area. Kudos to an excellent nightime resturaunt staff, especially Brian (waitstaff) and Matt (chef).
