Just returned home from a quick 2 night weekend stay at this HGI in Missoula, MT.
I found the location to be great, close to shopping and restaurants like Costco and Famous Daves. Courtney and the other staff who work the front desk are all super courteous and willing to help in any way.I will definitely stay at this property for all my future stays when in town.

We stopped here as we were passing though on a road trip. Even though it is the holidays, and we had no reservations, the rate was $69 for a very nice room on the 6th floor with 2 queen size beds, and breakfast in the morning. My son swam in the pool and enjoyed the hot tub which were both nice. They have a workout room, a business center, free wifi, an adjoining restaurant, conference rooms, and probably more. For this price I would expect a clean, but slightly skeezy motel, not a clean, modern hotel.

The hotel is located close to all the shopping and restaurants but not right in it so it's nice and quiet. It was clean and comfortable. We bought the room through an online travel site so we didn't have very much control over the type of room. We did end up in the accessibility room but it was great because it had so much room to spread out. At times the mattress seemed a little uncomfortable to me. It has controls on it and unless you know them well, it's difficult to get the adjusted for your personal comfort in the middle of the night when it's dark. The inclusive breakfast was typical but better than average. I will stay there again!

The hotel has nice decor and furnishings, and the staff was friendly. But I stayed here twice in the last month and both times the bed was really saggy and uncomfortable. They definitely need to invest in some new mattresses.

There are good restaurants nearby (I recommend Sean Kelly's Stone of Accord), and it only takes 5-10 minutes to get downtown or to the university. The hotel breakfast is fairly expensive ($10) but the rooms have refrigerators if you want to keep yogurt and juice.

This is a very nice hotel to stay at in Missoula. It's close to many restaurants. The Blue Canyon is attached which has some very good dishes, and Hooters is right next door. Plus there are a number of others nearby. I unfortunately broke down while driving through so I was stuck here for four days and got to know the area quite well. There is a Starbucks a short walk north, and a shopping area a short walk south.

Overall the hotel was quite nice. Comfortable rooms with nice beds. I have stayed at other Hilton Garden Inns, and while this one is a little older, it still is a nice place to stay. If you aren't in a mood to leave the hotel, it has everything you need.

This was our 3rd visit to Missoula and staying in the HGI. They have Blue Canyon, a restaurant that is in their complex along with the convention center and casino. The food in Blue Canyon is most likely the best choice in all of Missoula for casual fine dining.
It is great fun to sit up at their "Chef's Table" bar-counter at the far end of the open kitchen. You can watch all the preparations being done plus talk to the line cooks. They are knowledgable and friendly to boot. They just rolled out a new menu, not sure if the new one is on-line yet.
HGI has a lot of pluses going for it, such as location, near the shopping centers, near the airport, easy to get to from I-90. Very helpful staff members, adjustable mattresses and a nice counter height bathroom with a full wall counter.
My tastebuds and I can't wait to go there again to try out more things on Blue Canyon's menu. Bon Appetit, Ms. S. Claus

Room Tip: They are all good rooms in my experience, though I have not stayed in a suite.

I stayed at this hotel at the end of September. I was very pleasantly surprised by the overall impression and room. There is a pool and hot tub and a wonderful restaurant just around the corner serving upscale food. Free airport shuttle. I will definitely stay here on my next visit to Missoula.
