Owner description: Montana's popular ski area features the "Paradise," a three-mile long scenic trail, and the "Grizzly," which drops skiers 2,000 vertical feet through steep terrain. Beginners will find slim pickings, but the pros will have a blast with the numerous offerings at this 950-acre skiers' haven.

It's not the amount of lifts you pay for, it's the kick a*s terrain! I would even say, for ONLY having 2 lifts you couldn't ask for more or bettter terrain! As far as the service goes, everyone is SUPER friendly, unless you're an a*s hole to them like this guy in the post above most likely is! The lift operators at Snowbowl bust their butts on a daily basis making sure the ramps are well maintained and safe and they are ALWAYS up beat and friendly!! I have actually been to several different mountains across the country and I have NEVER seen a lift operator at another mountain work as hard or be as friendly as the crew at the bowl!

In closing I'll just say this, you must have been high or buzzed when you wrote that post Mr. A*s Hole! If you don't like the bowl I'm sure everyone would be happy for you to go to LT! I don't usually even take the time to post on these sites but I can just tell that you and the other disgruntled poster were probably being your normal, charming selves....and that's why nobody likes you and you get horrible service!! Think back a moment, how many of these similar types of post have you made about other places?? Tons, I'm sure!! The problem isn't with the rest of the world buddy, the problem lies within!

A HUGE THANKS TO THE ENTIRE SNOWBOWL STAFF FOR AN AWESOME 2011-2012 SEASON!! And always, you lifties KICK A*S

Great ski area, especially if you like the steeps. Not the best for families, but certainly doable. I took my five year old son there and had a blast. Lifts are old and slow, but you can access a lot of terrain with just the two lifts. Great bar, great food, great apres ski scene. Can be crowded on weekends, deserted on weekdays. Overall, needs a little TLC, but still one of the classic Montana ski areas!

I grew up skiing here over 15 years very overpriced for the amount of lifts and terrible service. Always nervous on the lifts and the operators seem buzzed or high. Beautiful mountain though only reason why i go. Check out the bowls and paradise is breathtaking on a sunny day.

NOT for beginners - this is a black diamond paradise. 20 minutes from town - get ready to go straight up and down. Spectacular views from the top and serious skiers abound. If you like a challenge and want to get away for a few short hours - this is the place to go.

snowbowl has wonderful very advanced skiing terrain and low prices. however, that is where its advantages stop. their service often rises to the level of spectacularly bad. they almost never answer their phone. they return calls at best sporadically. on huge event days they will sometimes "forget" to schedule enough window ticket sellers. their lodge is almost entirely unimproved since 1975. it's dirty and crowded. their bathrooms in the lodge often stink so badly that i literally wear my neck gaiter over my face when using them. recently a long time customer complained about an obviously dangerous condition on the mountain and they refused to allow him to buy more passes in an attempt to silence him. i have known the long time customer for decades and he is a responsible kind family man respected throughout the community. snowbowl appears to me to be trying to portray him as a troublemaker. go to missoulian.com for their coverage.
