“great hiking”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

We did some hiking here. It is only 5 miles from Missoula but feels like it is way out in the country. Great scenery but watch out for mountain bikes screaming down the hills on some of the trails. Some of the trails looked like they could have been in Glacier

“Great hikes (some areas closed due to fires)”
Reviewed July 27, 2013

First time here. Tried to hit the eastern area for a hike but found out it was closed due to one of the several fires running in the region. Came back to the main trailhead. Took the Rattlesnake trail which trails along a river. This is an easy out/back day hike that gets lots of use (we passed a few runners, dog walkers and bikers on a Tuesday mid day. Make sure you bring water. Once you get out of the forrest and start going uphill on the "intermediate" trails, you can work up a sweat in no time and we easily walked uphill in the sun for an hour straight. Beautiful area. Will try to visit again.

“Beautiful hiking area.”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

A wide range of hikes, shaded by trees. Perfect for bike rides, running and hiking. We also saw some people on horseback. Multiple restroom facilities. This trail follows a river.
