“Home away from Home”
Reviewed October 23, 2012

What a wonderful surprise this place was. The room was very comfortable and felt more like a temporary home than a hotel room. The bed was very comfortable and I always got a good nights sleep ( liked the fact that I could close it off from the rest of the suite and block out any hallway noise or the light from under the door ) The property is located in an area where you have many dining choices ( and with a kitchenette you can fix your own meals, no oven though so no baking stuff ) but was nice for say a grilled cheese and tomato soup on a cold evening. I have to give a shout out to Kayla at the front desk, she was always very helpful and had a smile on her face. I would stay here again next time I am in the area

Firstly, the staff upon arrival were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was very quiet and the bed extremely comfortable. The free evening hamburgers was a nice surprise and well received. The buffet breakfast was also very good. We were very impressed with the hotel overall and would definately stay here again when next in Missoula.

We just returned from a fishing trip in the Missoula area and just loved staying at the Staybridge Suites. The staff were friendly and service focused. The place was very clean and extremely quiet. The breakfast each morning really hit the spot as did the buffet dinners they provided Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evening. You just can't beat the price, quality and service!

We were a bit dismayed when we arrived at the hotel, because it was so far from the downtown area and the university. (I'm not sure how we missed that!) However, after a poke about in town, we realized that there really wasn't anything nearly as lovely as the Staybridge in town. It isn't the distance from downtown that bothered us - it's the insane traffic! Hard to believe in a smallish place. Happily, it isn't hard to find a place to park downtown, but rather tricky around U of M.

Our studio suite was large, comfy, spotlessly clean and nicely laid out. The staff at the desk and in the breakfast room are incredibly friendly and the breakfast is one of the best I've seen in a while. Lots of choices and a changing menu each day. The free laundry was also a boon for us, since we were doing a lot of cycling and hiking. In a two week trip in Montana, this was by far the nicest place we stayed. And good value, to boot. This is a small thing, but the shampoo and soap are also a big cut above what you'd normally get in a hotel. The bed was also quite comfortable and they offer a choice of pillows.

As long as you're willing to do a bit of driving, I'd highly recommend this hotel. There's not much to do in the immediate area and the street are quite heavy with traffic, but we didn't see anything closer in to town that would even come close to the quality of the Staybridge.

We enjoy everything about this hotel. The rooms are spacious, quiet, and clean. The staff, on every level, is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is wonderful. The evening reception is nice(although we miss the beer and wine). The pool is small, but adequate. The movie room and exercise room are great. We stay here every time we come through Missoula.

Wow, this was my favorite hotel of the seven or so we stayed in, in our drive across country of pet friendly hotels.

Extremely nice! full kitchen with dishes and silverware. Pet exercise area. Great breakfast with a wafflemaker. Felt like being in a cozy little apartment. They put us up on the second floor, very quiet, with stair access to the outside for the puppies.

My one negative with this hotel was the front desk person that checked me in. Not very friendly at all. When I inquired about a back way to bring my dogs in, she told me it would be better to bring them in through the lobby. Not a great idea when you have an excitable little miniature schnauzer who gets stressed easily. We threw a sweatshirt over her head and brought her in the lobby up on the elevator, only to realize our room was extremely close to the back staircase, which would have been a much better access for us. It may just have been me, because I was exhausted from driving and a full day, but she just seemed chilly and not welcoming in the least.

All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel when in Missoula, and they accept pets!!

Thank you so much for your review of our hotel. We are so glad you and your family enjoyed your stay with us. We apologize about suggesting the lobby- and you are absolutely right about the stairwell being a better option for you. Our agents are used to suggesting the quickest path to the elevator access. We are again, so glad that you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again in Missoula!

Soaringskies90,
Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. I personally apologize that your experience did not live up to the standards that we strive to uphold. We value each guest and use their feedback to evaluate what we can do to improve our hotel as well as our staff. As far as the bed bug concern, we bring in a professional to examine the bed and assess the situation. Additionally, our maids check daily for bed bugs and have been trained to recognize the patterns and signs. We have many preventative measures in place. The Staybridge franchise has a very unique cleaning technique that will prevent bed bugs from spreading if brought in by a guest. Please contact the hotel general manager, Jon Bernthal, if you have any further questions. Again, we apologize that we did not address your concerns and explain our process while you were at the hotel, but we would love to discuss any further questions you have.

Best Regards,

Jon Bernthal
