This KOA has just a few Kamping Kabins, but that is where we spent one overnight. The small cabin is equipped with a double bed and a bunk as well. This looks like it is very popular with RV'ers, as one after another pulled in for the night. The staff was quick for check-in and seemed to be helpful to those who needed it. As far as the Cabin, it needs new mattresses, but other than that, a good stay, especially for the price.

This is the best KOA I've ever been in. The staff is very hospitable, sites are large and trees are trimmed so no problem with our 13'4" 5ver. Whole park was clean and quiet though many guests. Pool was heated.

We went on road trip from Saskatchewan, Canada to the Blackhills, and then on to Wisconsin. I kind of estimated that Miles City is where we'd end up the first night but due to the uncertainty, I didn't book a site. When we arrived the family at the front desk was most helpful, found us a site, helped us park and even gave us all an ice cream sandwich. The office had a few grocery items and little souvenir type things. An adjoining side room had coffee and a couple tables [if I remember right] with board games etc. We didn't use the pool as it was a cooler day and we weren't there long enough but the boys enjoyed the go-carts and ladder ball game out front. The bathrooms were clean.

There were also boxes containing brand new playground equipment so that will be a bonus for future travellers. We are planning another trip south in summer 2014 and will totally consider this campground for our next journey, if we take the same route.

There is a 24 hr WalMart in the town so once we put the kids to bed, my husband stayed with them and I went to do our big camping grocery shop, since there are so many items we can't bring over the border. Worked perfect.

This was the first and last time my partner and I will be staying here.
We were tenting and found the tent sites to be uncomfortably close to the street (not road, as you are literally situated at the end of a fairly busy street). Slightly unnerving in a tent as it doesn't appear to be the "best" area Miles City has to offer.
There is a train bridge approximately 150m behind the campground which trains travel quite frequently on and blow their whistle. Doesn't make for the best sleep. I thought there was some rule in which trains were prohibited from blowing whistles in the middle of the night? Apparently not here!
We also found it difficult to sleep through the sound of the cows mooing (and of course all the trains going by stirred them up throughout the night). There is a farm conveiniently located across the street from the campgound.
My recommendations...get a hotel room, don't tent it here. At least you'll have a good nights sleep and not have to worry about getting shanked in the middle of the night (or run over by inebriated atv riders).

We had a very disappointing overnight stay in a campervan. At a KOA you have certain expectations. Our campsite was littered with cigarette buts and paper products plus dog poop near the water faucet. The dishwashing basin had a permanent water leak so did some of the outside water faucets. In the morning ,after drinking the water from the outside water faucet, I noticed a sign stating 'unsafe to drink' at many of the water faucets. The toilet paper dispensers are not user friendly as the rolls are placed on top of one another so it makes it extremely difficult to get a full square of toilet paper out - hence all the toilet paper is littering the bathroom stalls. I complained to the staff and I informed them I had cleaned up the site and all they had to say was" we will get on to it". I informed the Miles City Visitors Center of the issues.

Stayed here one night in one of the cabins in August when it was very HOT!!!! We where on a motorcycle and the temperature was nearly 100'..... When we got there one of the staff gave us a ice cream bar while we waited to check in which was nice. The cabin has an air conditioner which is a nice touch and was clean. The pad on the bed was actually very comfortable to sleep on. I appreciated the pool which was a nice temperature and clean. The bathroom is older but kept very clean. I didn't think that the cabin rate was to bad. As other KOA charge more. The staff was very efficient, helpful and pleasant to every one that is saw them check in. They tried very hard to park some very big rigs and various attached trailers. I would recommend staying here any time. The only thing i will say is that it is close to the trains and they do blow their horns.

This is the second time we have stayed here on our way back from WY. It's not the nicest KOA or the best priced but it's just fine for a 1 night stay. They are very accommodating with extra trailers or vehicles.Their is a pool, 2 cabins, and go carts available.
