We made a pretty long haul from the airport in Seattle, with this being our first stop on a drive to Baltimore. The roads were somewhat treacherous, and we were glad to see the Super 8 in Livingston, where we already had paid for a room through hotels.com. The fresh baked cookies were good, and the lady at the counter late at night was very nice. The only problem we encountered was walking to our non-smoking room, and having to walk through an obvious section of smoking rooms. It was very stinky in the hallway, but our room was fine. The heat/ac unit was a little funky to regulate, and at one point, our room was a sauna, other than that, it was value for the money. Beds were awesome and we slept like logs!

Very standard Super 8 set up but all fine. Room equipped with queen size bed, TV, fridge, microwave and hotel offered free internet (with a computer in lobby which was handy for those without a laptop - was not working on the day I was there as some connectivity issues). Breakfast was reasonable but nothing special. Good location, on the South side of town so handy for me as I wanted to route a quick route onto the interstate without having to go through Livingston. About an hour or so easy drive from North Yellowstone. Some restaurants and supermarket nearby which were quite good. Lots of parking available. Would very likely use again.

Ok, it's not cheap (105$ with taxes on friday and saturday) but Livingston is not the best place where to find a cheap accomodation.
The staff was nice and helpful.
The room is big, clean, huge tv and a good selection of tv channels.
The bathroom is clean and in good conditions.

Our experience with the Livingston Super 8 was less than stellar, to make an understatement. The wireless Internet (advertised on the booking site and amenities list) was out of order. The ice machine was broken - a big problem for multi-day travelers like us. The shower curtain was a sheer fabric with no liner, so the water flooded on to the floor (and we were being careful, too). When my husband turned on the bathroom fan, I thought a train was going by. The bed was squeaky and lumpy, and I could have made a thicker, more luxurious pillow out of a rolled up t-shirt.

We checked the room for extra pillows and blankets, but there were none. The furniture was old and stained, the cabinets were very beat up (splintered wood in many places) and many of the drawers (where we searched with no avail for better pillows) were broken/off their tracks. It wasn’t that cheap of a room either: we paid $85 + tax. I would expect this level of quality from a $50 motel, but a $90 one?

We didn’t even try the breakfast, we just left early in the morning and grabbed some grub and coffee at the nearby Albertsons grocery store, where we were also able to buy a bag of ice.
