Made a reservation in advance per website recommendation, for a king bed, finally got in the room after fighting with the door/lock for several minutes, first thing that hit me was it was 20 degrees hotter in the room than outside and it was warm outside, second thing, this is no king bed, turned the ac on, hum, blowing warm air, not helpful, husband looked at it, knobs are broken so they are not actually turning the controls, fortunetly he had needlenose plyers so we were able to make the nessecary adjustments, whenever I've stayed in warm climate areas before the ac units were left on for the arriving guests, website says new bed, when might that have been? If you sat on the side to put your shoes on you either slid off or sank in a hole. Well at least I can have a nice shower in the morning, oh yes if you like to stand in your dirty shower water because the tub is not draining. Lastly several slats were missing from the blinds on the window so they barley covered the it, don't accidently change your clothes standing to the side of the window, you will be giving anyone that walks by a show. Now you might say, you could have gone to the office to get a king room, have the ac unit looked at, etc, yes we could have but when you've been on the road for 10 hours and it's 9pm, you just want to get in your jammies, watch some TV and go to bed. This place might be worth $40 a night but not $70, that's for sure.

This is a small friendly Motel. Clean rooms. Just what you'd expect for a small town. I would love if they would add some yummy muffins, maybe some yogurt, and hot chocolate to the morning menu. Either stronger coffee or small coffee maker in room (along with some artificial sweetener like splenda as my son is Diabetic) would also be a nice feature, but an overall nice experience.

The Sandman is a motel. It's clean, but dated and very basic. The heater was quite loud and somewhat slow to kick in. Staff was friendly. The free breakfast was tiny - cereal, pre-made pancakes and waffles, and maybe bagels. Apparently it has a small water tank - timing showers was necessary. I can't comment on the value, as the room was provided by my prospective employer.

The Sandman advertises clean which is definitely true. The room was basic and dated. Don't expect any frills in accommodations and continental breakfast for about $75. The beds were comfortable, but the A/C was extremely loud and musty smelling.
