“Nice place”
Reviewed October 6, 2011

Stayed here in September while visiting Glacier National Park. I like all HGI's so knew what to expect and this one was nice. It had a western lodge-y feel and decor. Staff was very nice and seemed to care that we enjoyed our stay. Will stay here again if in the area.

As a long time Hilton Honors member I thought that extending one day during a conference at this hotel would not be a problem. My scheduled had changed and I noticed that my last session was not over until 5:00 PM which would have made a long day and potentially unsafe to drive a a couple of hundred miles home. My original reservation had me departing the conference a day early so I did not think it would be a problem to request an additional day at the conference rate as the conference did not end until the next day. I called and spoke to the desk and they said the room was available but not at the conference rate but an extremely high rack rate. I told the person I was attending the conference they said it did not matter because this was their busy season and they could get what ever they wanted for the room. I mentioned my Honors member but none of that mattered as it was only about the money. I was not going to pay the amount and checked into a different hotel for the night.
It went on the Hilton site and lodged a complaint and to date have not gotten any type of response. I guess this is just one of many hotels owned by the same person or group in Montana. I would think long and hard about hosting a function here as dealing with customers issues does not appear to be a strong point or least communicating with them.

Room Tip: Rooms are OK just don't have a problem that pits you against their rates.

Wife and I spent 3 nights here for our visit to Glacier NP. OK and a typical Garden Inn but our king bed was horrible. My side had a permanent, large depression that was very uncomfortable.

Located adjacent to an airfield but not much traffic.

Room Tip: Check the bed.

I am a Hilton Gold member and frequently stay at HGI's. This is a solid one. I was there on business during the busy August tourist season. I got a room on the back side of the top floor, which is good for peace and quiet. The room was clean, nice size, good amenities. Breakfast, free for Gold members, was very tasty and many alternatives were available. I am a big fan of HGI's oatmeal, so I ate that every day. Cookies at the front desk at night. Good service: we used the hotel van to get a ride to the airport the last day, in order to rent a car and see Glacier for half a day. My only problem with this hotel was one that I encounter once in a while. Taking a shower at 8am one day, there was not enough hot water, and so the water was barely lukewarm-- the hotel seemed full so this was probably an overuse issue. This is always irritating. The other days, when I took a shower earlier, this was not a problem. I was around town enough to notice that this is likely the best hotel in town. If you are a price shopper, avoid August.

Room Tip: Back side upper floor would be more quiet

Expensive and no complimentary breakfast. Beds were great and the room quiet. The a/c squeaked. We were there for a wedding and got a good rate one night but they would not match the rate for the 2nd night!
