We loved the quaintness of this Kalispell hotel. It was a great place to stay downtown and is celebrating 101 years! The rooms were simple, but cozy. The lobby had crafts made by local artists...jewelry and hats and quite an assortment of fun things. It is spotless throughout and the smell of cookies all day and evening is super inviting, even though one has just eaten, there is always just a little more room for that home made chocolate chip cookie!! Our king room was in the back and very quiet. The breakfast is included and they served yummy baked goodies and a potatoe quish on the day we were there. No negatives to this jewel of a hotel!

The Kalispell Grand Hotel is quaint, the staff is very friendly. The Hotel is very clean, and smelled awesome with homemade baking. The Hotel is a great value, we had a grand King on the second floor. The room was clean, the AC worked great and had no noise problems. Location was great with antique shops all around.

We stayed here one night on August 25. We flew into Kallispell. We stayed in a grand king on the third floor. The room was in the back and noise was no problem. The hotel was very clean. The staff were very friendly. The homemade cookies were delicious. This hotel was a very good value.

We spent 8 days touring Glacier National Park and staying in the railroad lodges. Our night at the Kalispell Grand Hotel was intended to be just a place close to the airport before our early AM departing flight home -- what a pleasant surprise! They had scrumptious homemade cookies and beverages in the lobby in the afternoon. When I inquired about the nut content of the chocolate chip cookies (due to allergies), Holly at the front desk immediately offered to bake a fresh batch on the chance the current batch had been baked on a tray that might have previously baked peanut butter cookies (we declined). When she mentioned the free continental breakfast, I alerted her that we wouldn't be able to take advantage of it as we needed to leave at 4:30AM for our flight; she had the night receptionist set-up the breakfast for us at 4AM. The room was spotless and the beds were made with fresh white cotton matelasse coverlets (not those awful polyester spreads that I remove immediately upon arrival). The room we stayed in also had nice amenities for senior travelers -- large easy-to-read phone buttons and a built-in shower seat. The hotel lobby gallery also had appealing, reasonably price work by local artists.

5 night stay. We really liked this hotel because it felt like you were staying out west and not in just another sterile hotel room. The price was great. The location is perfect with tons of food and shopping within a short walking distance. It was an easy commute to Glacier NP entry (~45 minutes). Whitefish is also a short drive away. The breakfast was fine and the evening cookies/popcorn were great. We also liked the local coffee being available all day long. We stayed in the basic queen room. It was plenty for 2 people. The rooms and bathrooms are a little dated but well cleaned. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: No quest rooms on the first floor. Slight noise on the second floor from people in third floor rooms...

We stayed at the Kalispell Grand Hotel on our family vacation this summer and loved it. We tend to research quite a bit about hotels before we stay and, honestly, there were not many reviews yet about this particular establishment when we began. However, they were runnning an anniversary special for being in business for 100 years, so we decided to try them out. We were very impressed! When we entered the hotel the lobby was impressive. It had high ceilings, beautiful decorations, a sitting area, and an old-fashiong check-in desk (except for the computers :). They were definitely 21st century). The rooms were spacious, clean and well-decorated. Even the hallways gave a nice feel of an old-time, classy hotel with polished brass on the doors and real keys. The hotel provided popcorn and beverages throughout the afternoon and evening hours and the breakfast was very nice with different kinds of specialty pastries, quiche, hot drinks and more. The staff was excellent, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. We were planning to go to Glacier National Park the next day and the staff gave us suggestions about other towns to visit. While Kalispell is located about 30 minutes from Glacier, it would still be a good place to stay for those wishing to visit the park on several times. The hotel is located in downtown Kalispell on a pretty busy road (on main street). However, that was not a problem. The hotel has ample parking in back (you get a parking pass upon check-in). We enjoyed being able to step out of the lobby and walk through the historic downtown area, see the shops, and eat at the local Sweat Peaks, a homemade icecream shop with huckleberry icecream. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and hope we can return some day. The only thing we would have done differently is we wish we could have stayed a few extra nights.

We arrived relatively late after traveling all day so our experience was simply sleeping the night and breakfast early the next morning. No complaints on either. Free parking in the lot behind the building was convenient. The room was fine and breakfast was good. The building had some character, though not as much as I had expected from reading reviews and the history. Basically a nice wooden staircase. Clean and reasonably priced was all that we needed and this hotel met those needs.
