“Nice little Motel with GREAT service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2010

We decided to visit Glacier National Park only a couple of weeks before are trip, with many of the hotel booked in the area I found the HilltopInn. I called and was impressed with how open and friendly that Denise was when I was asking about room availability and their property. I decided to take a chance and book with them for four nights. What a great choice. Our room was very clean and well cared for.
Now for the experience that put them over the top as far as service goes, we picked up a nail in one of our tires on the way back from Glacier National Park late on Saturday night. We called every where in and around Kalispell on Sunday morning, no place was open that could repair a tire with the exception of Costco. If we wanted to be able to go back to Glacier on our last day there, we had to get the tire fixed. Not being Costco members, Costco told us that they would not fix our tire unless we were Costco members. So it would cost us a $50 Costco membership to have them even look at the tire. So I went and asked Denise and Tom if they knew of anywhere that we could our tire fixed on Sunday. Denise and Tom said that Walmart used to have a tire shop but the new Walmart location did not have a tire shop anymore so the only place that they could think of was Costco. When I told them that we did not have a Costco membership card, Denise offered to call Costco for us. Costco would only work on the tire if Denise or her husband brought the tire down to the store. So Tom went down to Costco with us and stayed for the 40 minutes that it took Costco fix the tire!
We could not believe how far out their way that Tom and Denise went to ensure that we had the best vacation possible!

Stayed at the Hilltop for two nights while travelling with a group of bikers. A fantastic little hotel with very clean rooms and exceptional service. We were greeted by the freindly proprietors and checked into rooms that were already cooled down which was a plus after a long day on a motorbike. Tom and Denise made us feel right at home and helped us decide on resturants etc in the area and any other needs for local entertainment. This hotel is biker freindly with parking right outside the door and microwaves, fridges etc. in every room. Priced very reasonably and within walking distance of stores we would definetly stay at this hotel again. Very well kept grounds and nice outdoor area to lounge and visit with other bikers. A real gem!

Stayed in this motel last night as part of a 3 week blast around the Pacific Northwest. This was the 11th hotel in 13 nights and deserves a special mention. The staff who checked us in (I guess the owners) couldn't have been more helpful. We were offered a look around the room to see if it was what we were after which never seems to happen in our experience. They recommended eateries and even went to great lengths to explain the best ways to experience the Glacier National Park nearby. The only room available was a suite and this still came in at about $80 including tax.

Located in the center of civilization with stores and restaurants, this is a good base for adventure seekers and tourists on a budget. Mom & Pop owner's seem reputable and have obviously put personal effort into restoring a Route 66 type-60's motor hotel. My room was clean with good beds and linens. Bathroom was well maintained. No surprises with stains, hairs, or bugs that often accompany more economical hotels. No card key doors, but has fridge, micro, offee pot, and wi-fi. Host is very knowledgeable and entertaining to share game, fish, and outdoor adventure knowledge. The stay would have been perfect except I had a noisy 70's rock listening neighbor. I called his room but the extension did not match the room number. (Woke up my other neighbor.) The front office closes at 7 and I did not know how to complain. I would stay again, but next time will inquire about what to do if I have an after hours problem. There is a little street noise so a room farther away from the street is better.

I stayed here one night after spending the day in Glacier National Park. All the big chain hotel/motels were way too expensive. The Hilltop Inn (motel) is located on the main street thru town. It's an L-shaped motel with 24 rooms. I paid $64.00 for a clean comfortable room. Several big chain stores in the area ( Walmart, Kmart, etc) as several different restaurant choices.
Check in was simple and the lady at the front desk was very friendly. The room was cozy and nice. Queen bed, free local calls and cable tv. Some rooms also have kitchenettes. The motel is also pet friendly. The only minor problem I encountered was the a/c wasn't blowing out cold air. It didn't cool the room but I still slept good.
Overall I enjoyed my stay and would stay here again if ever in the area.
