We were first amazed that there was no air conditioning, we are from Texas, but the room cooled at night and there were fans. The staff there is wonderful. They recommended the Evergreen to us when they were booked and we left a sweat shirt there, They called and are mailing it to us.

The place is a few miles from West Glacier, so is ideal for exploring Glacier Nat Park. The cabins (I stayed in a two bedroom unit) are pretty new and extremely well equipped. The staff is pleasant and helpful - its clear they enjoy their jobs.

We stayed here for two nights - stayed in Alpine and had a wonderful experience. We purchased a Groupon for this place and it was a great deal. We live close to Glacier and try to go 3 or 4 times a year - this Groupon worked out for a birthday celebration.

Check in was quick and easy and the girl working was very helpful in telling us all the highlights of the property. We checked out the beaver ponds both evenings and really enjoyed the area.

We brought our own food and cooked - the kitchen had everything we needed. There were plenty of towels and the little deck was nice. We had planned on using the grill but it was not gas - and we didn't have charcol etc so just used the electric grill in the kitchen. Beds were comfortable, the TV was good and they had WI-FI one day - the next day it didn't work and I called - they called me right back and explained that a piece of equipment had died - no big deal as the cell coverage was fine there. Everything was clean and well organized. Oh and PLENTY of plugins for chargers!

Overall a very nice place - I would stay there again for sure.

Room Tip: We had the Alpine cabin - 2 bedrooms - was a great size.

We stayed at the historic Tamarack Lodge for a week in July, using it as the jumping-off point for our family vacation in Glacier National Park. The cabin we stayed in was comfortable, clean and spacious. And there is a llama! We would stay here again.

We came out for the 1st time to Hungry Horse, MT to snowmobile, January 2013. We fell in love with the area and the Lodge. We stayed 5 nights in a lofted cabin. Our cabin was awesome, new, very very clean will all amentities, comfortable bed, clean bathrooms, quiet, peaceful with great view of the trees/woods from the upper loft deck and Star the Lama!! Of course we can't forget Josey!! It was great to have the full kitchen as we love to cook. We did not get a chance to use the grill. The Lodge is close to the Glacier Park, shopping and the famous Huckleberry Patch for Huckleberry Pie and Icecream. For snowmobiling... it was spectacular!! Lots of snow in the mountains for trail riding and playing, the views were awesome and the Lodge is close to many of the trails. Definately our home away from home. Doug, was the best. Very helpful and knowledgeable about the area and the trails and spent the time showing us the best places to go. We can not wait to come back next year!!! Thank you Doug and your Staff you were great.

We stayed for four nights at the Grinnell cabin with a full kitchen, tv, 2 bedrooms, and everything was just great. The cabin was clean. The beds and furniture were comfortable. It was quiet and cozy. The owners and their dog Josey were very nice too. Josey led us to the Beaver Pond out back, and it was a serene place. We cooked breakfast every morning (there's a small grocery store not too far away) before heading to Glacier National Park. The housekeepers kept the cabin clean every day that we're out. We always had clean towels. The back patio was really relaxing. It has a small grill, which we did not use because we didn't have enough time. I would definitely come and stay here again! It's like a home away from home.

Room Tip: Personally, I like the cabins that are toward the end.
