“Next time we're staying longer!”
Reviewed August 17, 2009

The only downside to our visit at the Glacier Park Inn Bed and Breakfast was that we couldn’t spend a whole week there. In just two nights, Mark and Mary made us feel totally at home with their laid-back, down-to-earth, welcoming style and generosity in sharing their beautiful home and location with us. We appreciated their passion for preserving the beauty of the Northwest for all to enjoy. Their knowledge of the area was extensive, their artistry in the kitchen was outstanding, and their flexibility in adjusting to our schedule was a big help. We received a free upgrade from the Siyeh room to the larger and more comfortable Camas room, as it was unoccupied when we arrived. They encouraged us to use the kitchen to make our evening meals if we wished, and to use the barbeque, viewing scope, computer, wireless internet, and anything in the common areas. They even loaned us bear spray for our hikes, which we thankfully returned unused.

We would come back for the great food alone – tasty elk sausage, stuffed French toast, homemade granola, spiced yogurt, and fresh fruit stand out in our memories. But beyond that are memories of a comfortable bed for refreshing sleep after all-day hiking, a new flat-screen TV helping us unwind with a taste of local news, delightful décor that made us feel right at home in Montana, and of course, the incredible views off the balcony of the Flathead River with the Rockies as a backdrop. We had planned to be in the Park all day, returning to the B&B to sleep and eat before heading out again. Next time we’ll plan more time with Mark & Mary, and more relaxation in their remarkable home. Although just off the main highway, it feels secluded and a world away from the crowds and noise. We would highly recommend their place to anyone visiting Glacier.

The Glacier Park Inn B&B is wonderful! Great view overlooking the Flathead River, Mary and Mark are excellent hosts (with lots of good information for you), huge breakfast (Mary is a professional chef and had her own restaurant for many years) very nice rooms with lots of privacy, wireless internet. Ten minutes from the West Glacier entrance. Stay here, nothing in or around the park comes close to being as nice or of such value.

We spent one night in the Great Northern Room at the Glacier Park Inn B&B in September and wished we had time to spend more.

Pros
- Location. Close to the park entrance, easy to find, but far enough back from the highway to be quiet.
- Accommodations. The bed was comfortable and warm. The sheets and quilt were nice and cozy. Lots of room. Great sleep.
- Main area. There was a computer so we could check our mail and other stuff. Loads of books and picture albums for entertainment. There was also a GREAT deck area overlooking the river.
- Breakfast. Very very good. We had homemade granola with spiced yogurt and fresh fruit. We also had Belgian waffles with maple syrup and fruit syrup. So very good. I would return just for the breakfast!
- The Scenery. Beautiful.

Cons
- The only very minor con was that the bathroom for the Great Northern Room is in the hall to the bedroom. But it was not an issue at all.

Overall a great stay and would highly recommend. The next time we are in the area we will reserve again, hopefully for longer!

Loved this place. Mark and Mary are great hosts. We learned a lot about Glacier National Park during our two day stay with them.
Not sure what room we stayed in since Mark told us we were upgraded when we got there. It was a nicely appointed, large room with tv, wireless internet and private bath in the lower level of the house. Upstairs on the main level is the kitchen, dining room, great room with a large deck and and awesome view of the Flathead River with the mountains as the backdrop.
Mary made us wonderful breakfasts. It was like staying with family. We would definitely recommend the Glacier Inn and B&B and would stay there again if ever visiting GNP.

This is a great B&B called the Glacier Park Inn B&B. It is NOT the same place as the last reviewer stayed. There is a place down the road with a similar name which is nothing like it! This is an octagon shaped house, very tastefully decorated, with comfortable rooms and every amenity you could ask for in a B&B. The deck sits high above the river, with awesome views. Mark and Mary are well travelled, friendly, interesting and helpful hosts. Breakfast each morning was wonderful -and included freshly ground Montana coffee, homemade granola, homemade yogurt, juice, and a breakfast entree. My husband and I have travelled extensively in the U.S. as well as 19 other countries in the last 20 years. I would LOVE to stay at the Glacier Park Inn B&B again and would urge you to look at their website (www.glacierparkinn.com) and see for yourselves. You'll see it can't possibly be where the last reviewer stayed.

Mark and Mary are the perfect hosts to introduce you to Glacier Park. They are rich in information about the region and are great at getting you set up for wonderful adventures...whatever your interests may be. They even have some equipment to loan if the airlines delay your bags, as they did mine.

The Inn is a modern facility, decorated in an outdoorsy Montana style, with lots of photos of wildlife (Mark & Mary have a strong interest in bears). The rooms are spacious and pleasant, and there is plenty of local reading material available. Guests are free to use the upstairs kitchen to make lunch or dinner, and the downstairs common room has comfortable chairs and a refrigerator for storing food.

The clincher for this Inn is the exquisite setting. The Middle Fork of the Flathead river is outside the back door, and the Inn is designed to make the best of the view. The setting can be enjoyed from the breakfast table while you sample one of Mary's incredible breakfast creations. Mark and Mary once owned and operated a restaurant, and it shows. Here, the breakfast could not be better.

All in all, this was one of the highlights of our stay. The inn, the innkeepers' helpfulness, the food and the relaxed atmosphere re-emphasized the reasons we love to stay in B&Bs. We highly recommend it.

We stayed two nights at Glacier Park Inn Bed and Breakfast and wish it had been more! They were able to accommodate our family (two adults and two teenagers) with a lower level suite of two bedrooms and our own bathroom. This was adjacent to a common area and lower level deck. This place was unique (octagon house), peaceful, and had great breakfasts. The view off the deck, both upper and lower, was spectacular. You can barely see another house as you admire the Flathead River and Glacier Park mountains in the background. The owners are wonderful, and we were encouraged to use the kitchen for our evening meals and use the laundry facilities, as needed. If you get a chance, take advantage of this wonderful location.
